Article Abstract
A thorough systematic study of the Electron Localization Function (ELF) in fcc silver metal, the deficient vacant-type Ag□ structure, and the AgBO title compound of the , 2020, , 962 edge article leads to a further understanding of the sub-valent characteristics of silver in the silver borate compound. By visualizing the process in three consecutive steps, (fcc)-Ag → (fcc)-Ag → Ag□ → AgBO, the electron reduction of Ag atoms can be traced to be due to (i) the expansion (ex) of the host metallic array from its equilibrium (eq) geometry and (ii) the vacancy creation and subsequent insertion of guest borate clusters. Our ELF analysis also allows us to identify to what extent metallic features remain in the title compound, providing an alternative explanation of why AgBO is not a conductor whereas pure silver is.

Background/objectives: The COVID-19 pandemic introduced various stressors for families, including changes to daily routines, work, and schooling. Studies have linked these stressors to increased mental health challenges for parents and children. Sleep difficulties were also common during the pandemic, with some children and parents experiencing poorer sleep quality and shorter sleep duration.

Objective: The real-world evidence on the association between glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) and cancer risk remains limited and mixed.
Methods: In 2013-2020 national Medicare claims data, we included cancer-naïve patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D). We identified those who initiated GLP-1 RA, sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitor (SGLT2i), or dipeptidyl peptidase 4 inhibitor (DPP4i) and conducted 1:1 propensity score matching for confounding adjustment.

Background: This study aims to estimate the prevalence of breakfast skipping among Chinese adolescents and to investigate the association between breakfast skipping and multiple forms of bullying victimization.
Methods: We used 2020/2021 data from the Database for Youth Health program in Shandong, China, and included 24,041 students in grades 7-12 in the analysis. Breakfast skipping was defined as the self-reported omission of breakfast daily in the past 7 days.
