Objective: Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) have demonstrated potential to improve medical diagnosis. We piloted the end-to-end automation of the mid-trimester screening ultrasound scan using AI-enabled tools.
Methods: A prospective method comparison study was conducted. Participants had both standard and AI-assisted US scans performed. The AI tools automated image acquisition, biometric measurement, and report production. A feedback survey captured the sonographers' perceptions of scanning.
Results: Twenty-three subjects were studied. The average time saving per scan was 7.62 min (34.7%) with the AI-assisted method (p < 0.0001). There was no difference in reporting time. There were no clinically significant differences in biometric measurements between the two methods. The AI tools saved a satisfactory view in 93% of the cases (four core views only), and 73% for the full 13 views, compared to 98% for both using the manual scan. Survey responses suggest that the AI tools helped sonographers to concentrate on image interpretation by removing disruptive tasks.
Conclusion: Separating freehand scanning from image capture and measurement resulted in a faster scan and altered workflow. Removing repetitive tasks may allow more attention to be directed identifying fetal malformation. Further work is required to improve the image plane detection algorithm for use in real time.

Alterations in skeletal muscle morphology and composition are critical factors in cerebral palsy (CP), including changes in passive stiffness and in belly and fascicle lengths. In this study, we quantified the relative contributions of muscle and tendon to passive stiffness across the ankle range of motion in individuals with CP and typically developing (TD) peers. We also investigated morphological factors underlying increased muscle stiffness.

Echocardiography is the primary imaging tool for evaluating cardiac structure and function in patients with primary hypertension. A significant limitation of the current literature is that most studies focus on older adults, leaving a significant gap in understanding the cardiac effects of primary hypertension in young adults. This scoping review protocol aims to assess conventional echocardiographic parameters, left ventricular geometric patterns, and advanced echocardiographic findings for the early detection of cardiac changes in young adults aged 18-39 with primary hypertension.

Objectives: To evaluate the performance of artificial intelligence (AI)-based models in predicting elevated neonatal insulin levels through fetal hepatic echotexture analysis.
Methods: This diagnostic accuracy study analyzed ultrasound images of fetal livers from pregnancies between 37 and 42 weeks, including cases with and without gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Images were stored in Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) format, annotated by experts, and converted to segmented masks after quality checks.

Objectives: To explore the relationships between cardiac parameters and body composition indices, identifying predictors of subclinical cardiac systolic dysfunction.
Methods: Using anthropometric and serological parameters, echocardiography, and body composition analysis, this study evaluated metabolic profiles, cardiac remodeling patterns, and body composition characteristics in young adult obese patients, while quantifying the correlations between cardiac parameters and body composition indices. Subclinical left ventricular systolic dysfunction was defined as global longitudinal strain (GLS) < 18%.

Introduction: Information on tertiary hyperparathyroidism (THPTH) among chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients on haemodialysis in developing countries such as India is limited, and the mortality among them remains a query.
Materials And Methods: This was a prospective cohort study conducted in at a tertiary care centre from June 2017 to June 2022. The index of suspicion for tertiary hyperparathyroidism was when investigations revealed high serum calcium and high alkaline phosphatase along with new onset of body aches, joint pains, and difficulty in walking.
