Hydralazine is an antihypertensive that can induce immune-related adverse effects, such as hydralazine-induced lupus and hydralazine-induced antineutrophilic cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis (AAV). AAV involves necrotizing inflammation of small blood vessels, manifesting as fever, malaise, arthralgia, and myalgia, potentially leading to organ failure. Diagnosis includes clinical evaluation, serological testing for ANCA, and histopathological examination, confirmed by necrotizing granulomatous inflammation in affected tissues.

Importance: Preterm children face a higher risk of cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension. However, studies have not isolated the associations of prematurity with cardiovascular conditions from the associations of subsequent complications with cardiovascular conditions, especially among those admitted to a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
Objective: To investigate prospective associations of prematurity and NICU complications with childhood hypertension while accounting for prenatal and perinatal factors.

Background: To examine how mid-trimester systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) levels, considered both independently and jointly, are associated with individual and co-occurring adverse pregnancy outcomes (APOs).
Methods: We analyzed two cohorts from northern and southern China, consisting of 78,891 singleton pregnancies. Mid-trimester (20-28 weeks' gestation) SBP and DBP were evaluated as qualitative classifications (isolated systolic, isolated diastolic, and systolic-diastolic hypertension) and quantitative measurements (levels of SBP/DBP and pulse pressure).

Background: Preoperative cardiac computed tomography-derived fractional flow reserve (CT-FFR) and intraoperative transit-time flow measurement (TTFM) values were compared with graft patency after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).
Methods: One hundred and eight patients who underwent isolated CABG using an in-situ internal thoracic artery (ITA) based composite graft and whose CT-FFR values were obtained were included. TTFM values(mean graft flow[MGF; mL/min], pulsatility index[PI], and diastolic filling percentage[DF%]) were obtained for each anastomosis in all study patients.

Wild blackberry ( Schott) is a culinary and medicinal plant traditionally used to treat various ailments, including hypertension. This study evaluated the vasorelaxant effects of five crude leaf extracts of (hexane, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, methanol, and aqueous), as well as the hypotensive and antioxidant activities of its methanolic extract (MERu), and analyzed its phytochemical profile. Crude extracts, obtained using a Soxhlet apparatus, were tested in vitro on isolated rat aortic rings precontracted with phenylephrine.
