The anterior commissure (AC) has an anterior and posterior limb. Despite comprehensive information about the posterior limb, there is limited and conflicting information about the anterior limb in the literature. We aimed to show the anatomical relationships of the AC with neighboring structures by using white matter microdissection and magnetic resonance (MR) tractography, primarily on the anterior limb of the AC.

Chemical sensor arrays mimic the mammalian olfactory system to achieve artificial olfaction, and receptor materials resembling olfactory receptors are being actively developed. To realize practical artificial olfaction, it is essential to provide guidelines for developing effective receptor materials based on the structure-activity relationship. In this study, we demonstrated the visualization of the relationship between sensing signal features and odorant molecular features using an explainable AI (XAI) technique.

Introduction: Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyp (CRSwNP) is a predominant type 2 inflammatory disease, affecting the sense of smell and quality of life. Loss of smell compromises physical and emotional health, creating negative impacts and its treatment in CRSwNP is challenging.
Aim: To present the outcomes of dupilumab in olfactory function, Nasal Polyp Score (NPS) and quality of life in Brazilian patients with severe CRSwNP.

The cerambycid beetles are important components in the terrestrial ecosystem as they play a dual role in both degrading dying trees and killing healthy plants. The factors including human activity, habitat contraction, climate changes and pesticide use have been shaping the adaptation of beetles to host plants and the environment. As suggested in research on the functions of beetles' olfactory proteins, odorant binding proteins (OBPs) have been found to be involved in insecticide resistance other than chemoreception.

The Caribbean spiny lobster Panulirus argus is a social species in which individuals aggregate for protection during the day using chemicals in their urine as guiding cues. This behavior changes when animals are infected by Panulirus argus virus 1 (PaV1), such that healthy animals avoid the urine of diseased conspecifics. The aim of this study was to identify the molecules responsible for this switch in aggregation behavior.
