Developing a practical strategy to enhance the quality of medicinal herb while alleviating negative plant-soil feedback (NPSF) is critical for agriculture. In this study, we investigated the effects of selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) on Panax notoginseng through a two-year field experiment. Four treatments were established: a control (SeNPs_0) and three SeNPs concentrations (3, 5, and 10 mg/L), which were foliar-sprayed every 15 days for a total of six applications.

Self-regulating hydrogels represent the next generation in the development of soft materials with active, adaptive, autonomous, and intelligent behavior inspired by sophisticated biological systems. Nature provides exemplary demonstrations of such self-regulating behaviors, including muscle tissue's precise biochemical and mechanical feedback mechanisms, and coordinated cellular chemotaxis driven by dynamic biochemical signaling. Building upon these natural examples, self-regulating hydrogels are capable of spontaneously modulating their structural and functional states through integrated negative feedback loops.

This article concentrates on the issue of event-triggered dynamic output feedback control for Markovian jump complex dynamical networks (MJCNDs) subject to multiple cyberattacks. To alleviate the communication pressure, a new adaptive event-triggered mechanism (AETM) is proposed. This AETM incorporates a dynamically adjustable parameter and mode-dependent properties to enhance flexibility.

Study Question: What information does an international group of professionals and egg donors consider relevant and morally necessary for prospective egg donors to provide valid informed consent?
Summary Answer: Participants considered 80% of all concrete information items (CIIs) to be relevant (e.g. all legal aspects) and 67% to be morally necessary.

In symbiotic plant-microbe interactions, the host invests considerable amounts of resources in the microbial partner. If the microbe does not reciprocate with a comparable symbiotic benefit, it is regarded as a cheater. The host responds to cheaters with negative feedback mechanisms (sanctions) to prevent fitness deficits resulting from being exploited.
