Article Abstract
We built upon a recent study by Rodrigues, Fasoli, Huic, and Lopes (2018) by investigating potential mechanisms driving the dehumanization of consensual non-monogamous (CNM) partners. Using a between-subjects experimental design, we asked 202 Portuguese individuals (158 women; M = 29.17, SD = 9.97) to read the description of two partners in a monogamous, open, or polyamorous relationship, and to make a series of judgments about both partners. Results showed the expected dehumanization effect, such that both groups of CNM partners (open and polyamorous) were attributed more primary (vs. secondary) emotions, whereas the reverse was true for monogamous partners. Moreover, results showed that the dehumanization effect was driven by the perception of CNM partners as less moral and less committed to their relationship. However, these findings were observed only for individuals with unfavorable (vs. favorable) attitudes toward CNM relationship. Overall, this study replicated the original findings and extended our understanding of why people in CNM relationships are stigmatized.

Objectives: To assess vaccine effectiveness (VE) and safety of the recombinant zoster vaccine (RZV) in adults with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
Methods: This retrospective study using administrative claims data collected between 1 January 2018 and 30 September 2023 from the USA included two cohorts of adults aged ≥18 years with SLE insured by (1) Medicare (parts A/B/D) or (2) one of five commercial partners (including Medicare Advantage plans). In VE analyses, adults receiving two RZV doses ≥28 days apart were matched 1:4 to unvaccinated comparators on insurer, sex and age (±5 years); the outcome was incident herpes zoster (HZ) after 31 days.

Background: There is limited evidence and guidance in health preferences research to prevent, identify, and manage fraudulent respondents and data fraud, especially for best-worst scaling (BWS) and discrete choice experiments with nonordered attributes. Using an example from a BWS survey in which we experienced data fraud, we aimed to: (1) develop an approach to identify, verify, and categorize fraudulent respondents; (2) assess the impact of fraudulent respondents on data and results; and (3) identify variables associated with fraudulent respondents.
Methods: An online BWS survey on healthcare services for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) was administered to Canadian IBD patients.

CNM-Au8 is a suspension of gold nanocrystals that catalyzes the conversion of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide hydride into NAD+, resulting in an increase of cellular adenosine triphosphate production.

Pediatric home health care represents a vital system of care for children with disability and medical complexity, encompassing services provided by family caregivers and nonfamily home health care providers and the use of durable medical equipment and supplies. Home health care is medically necessary for the physiologic health of children with disability and medical complexity and for their participation and function within home, school, and community settings. While the study of pediatric home health care in the United States has increased in the last decade, its research remains primarily methodologically limited to observational studies.
