Previous studies have demonstrated that a positive ergonomics climate with an equal focus on improving operational performance and employee well-being is beneficial to both employee health and organizational performance. This study aimed to assess the ergonomics climate at two power plants and examine its association with self-reported pain, performance, and well-being. At two power plants in Iran, survey responses from 109 and 110 employees were obtained. The questionnaires contained data on ergonomics climate, organizational performance, employee health, and self-reported pain. Results showed that the mean ergonomics climate scores between the Besat and Rey power plants were significantly different ( < 0.001). The overall ergonomics climate score, and all subscales scores, were positively associated with organizational performance ( < 0.001). The overall ergonomics climate score, and some of its subscales, were significantly associated with employees' general health ( < 0.001). The ergonomics climate score was significantly higher in the group of employees who reported musculoskeletal pain than those who did not report musculoskeletal pain ( < 0.05). Investigation of ergonomics climate can provide organizations with a baseline for prioritizing their values and finding areas for improving organizational performance and employee health.

Virtual reality (VR) training provides immersive, risk-free experiences that leverage multisensory integration to improve memory retention, presence and embodiment to strengthen engagement and attention, and situational learning to promote transfer of training to real-world contexts. Adding gamification through serious games (SG) further enhances engagement and active learning. This study validates a VR-SG safety training previously evaluated in Colombia, now applied to 74 professional roofers in Germany comparing ViStra (VR-SG) with LeStra (lecture-based with problem-based learning).

This study addresses the problem of minimizing the environmental impact of livestock production while improving the efficiency of livestock waste-to-energy conversion. A sustainable management approach based on neural network models is proposed and substantiated, focusing on predicting livestock waste generation and optimizing farm configurations. A set of protective clothing against infectious agents (PPE) is intended to prevent infection with pathogens, and the required high level of protection hinders heat exchange due to sweat evaporation. In heat stress conditions, evaporative heat loss through the skin from the user body to the external environment is then difficult or very limited, resulting in a significant impairment of overall heat exchange/transfer and, consequently, affects the productivity and health of PPE users. In order to check how the type of PPE clothing used and particular microclimatic conditions affect the subjective feelings of users, tests were conducted under controlled conditions in a climatic chamber.
