Introduction And Objectives: Hepatic, portal, and intrarenal venous flows are impaired in significant tricuspid regurgitation (TR), but the impact of massive and torrential TR remains unclear. This study assessed these venous flow patterns across the 5-grade TR classification and their potential as grading markers.
Methods: Patients with TR were prospectively included from 3 centers.

Objective: This study aimed to describe healthcare utilisation and costs associated with the assessment of suspected acute coronary syndrome (ACS) under standard care and to compare these outcomes with the Limit of Detection in Emergency Department (LEGEND) strategy, an accelerated diagnostic pathway identifying low-risk patients using a single highly sensitive troponin (hs-cTnI).
Method: A stepped-wedge cluster randomised trial was conducted in four Queensland hospitals. Each transitioned from standard care (2016 ACS guidelines) to the LEGEND intervention at randomised intervals.

Background: Cardioembolic (CE) stroke is a common and often severe subtype of ischemic stroke, but early and accurate differentiation from other stroke types remains challenging. Brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and N-terminal pro-BNP (NT-proBNP) have emerged as promising biomarkers, yet direct comparative studies evaluating their diagnostic utility in the hyperacute and early acute phase are limited.
Methods: This prospective study included 165 patients who presented with acute stroke symptoms within twenty-four hours of onset at a single tertiary center.

Background And Aims: The gut microbiota is a modulator of cardiometabolic disease. Circulating imidazole propionate (ImP) is a microbiota-derived proatherogenic amino acid metabolite modulating the inflammatory response of myeloid cells, endothelial function and glucose metabolism. This study examined the prognostic value of ImP in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD).

Background: Left ventricular (LV) remodeling plays a pivotal role in the pathophysiology of heart failure (HF) following acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular (LV) volumes and, more recently, speckle tracking echocardiography (STE) are used to describe LV performance. Myocardial work (MW) is a new noninvasive imaging method that integrates loading conditions and can be used to detect early myocardial dysfunction before LVEF decreases.
