Functional PET (fPET) identifies stimulation-specific changes of physiological processes, individual molecular connectivity and group-level molecular covariance. Since there is currently no consistent analysis approach available for these techniques, we present a toolbox for unified fPET assessment. The toolbox supports analysis of data obtained with a variety of radiotracers, scanners, experimental protocols, cognitive tasks and species.

This study presents the first integrated assessment of plastic pollution at the Kura River delta, where the river enters the hydrologically enclosed Caspian Sea. We applied a modular toolbox comprising four complementary components: high-resolution hydrodynamic modeling to predict debris convergence zones, UAV-based mapping to survey shoreline conditions, automated object-based image analysis for debris detection and classification, and standardized field monitoring by trained community participants for ground-truthing and source identification. Using this framework, we identified debris accumulation hotspots and developed a replicable approach for assessing plastic pollution in semi-enclosed systems.

Background: In clinical radiation therapy (RT), accurately quantifying the delivered radiation dose to the targeted tumors and surrounding tissues is essential for evaluating treatment outcomes. Ionizing radiation acoustic imaging (iRAI), a novel passive and non-invasive imaging technique, has the potential to provide real-time in vivo radiation dose mapping during RT. However, current iRAI technology does not account for spatial variations in the detection sensitivity of the ultrasound transducer used to capture the iRAI signals, leading to significant errors in dose mapping.

We introduce Host-Gated Enzymatic Release (H-GER) as an alternative colorimetric signal transduction mechanism for measuring amylase activity. This assay uses a visually colored complex formed when hydroxypropyl-γ-cyclodextrin (HP-γ-CD) binds to the aggregachromic dye CRANAD-2, with the HP side chains playing a key role in the complexation. The analytical capability of this visually addressable assay relies on changes in dye dispersity, triggered by the enzymatic release of gated CRANAD-2 from HP-γ-CD host.

Background And Objective: Sleep is a biological process of fundamental importance to physical and mental health. Sleep staging and respiratory event detection are lengthy, error prone and tiresome procedures conducted by sleep experts. Computerized tools would potentially reduce the time needed for sleep staging.
