Introduction: The aim of this study was to correlate cribriform pattern (CP) with other parameters in a large prospective series of Gleason score ≥7/ISUP grade ≥2 prostate cancer (PC) cases undergoing radical prostatectomy (RP).
Methods: This is a prospective single-center study on 210 consecutive patients. Gleason pattern 4 and individual tumor growth patterns determination were performed either in biopsy or in surgical specimens for all patients.
Results: At multiparametric magnetic resonance, a higher percentage of PI-RADS 5 was associated to CP (53.3% vs 17.7%, P = .038). CP was significantly and inversely (r = -0.261; P = .001) correlated with perineural invasion (PNI) but not with other pathological parameters. Kaplan-Meier analysis showed that mean biochemical (Bp) and radiological (Rp) progression-free survival were similar (Bp = χ 0.906; P = .341; Rp = χ 1.880; P = .170) independently to CP. In PNI positive cases, Bp-free survival was higher (χ = 3.617; P = .057) in cases without CP.
Conclusions: In a homogeneous population excluding ISUP 1 cases, CP showed limited prognostic value. We first described an association with PNI and a prognostic value influenced by PNI status.

Gleason pattern 5 (GP5) prostatic adenocarcinoma (PC) includes distinct morphologies: undifferentiated solid pattern (US), solid and cribriform with necrosis (CN), clusters and cords (CC), and isolated single tumour cells (ISTC). The role of these patterns in the metastatic setting is still poorly understood. We conducted a case-control retrospective histological characterization of two cohorts of ISUP Grade Group 5 PC, one with nodal metastases (N1) and one without (N0), comparing GP5 sub-patterns distribution, from robot-assisted radical prostatectomies with extended lymphadenectomy diagnosed between January 2013 and February 2023.

Thyroid lesions associated with DICER1 syndrome include multifocal hyperplastic and benign neoplastic proliferations (follicular nodular disease) with characteristic macrofollicular and/or intrafollicular centripetal papillary growth patterns, frequently associated with atrophic and involutional changes. There are also well-differentiated thyroid carcinomas showing intermediate-type nuclei, sometimes combining high-grade areas (tumor-in-tumor pattern) and poorly differentiated carcinomas. Here, for the first time, we describe an encapsulated follicular cell thyroid tumor showing a mixed follicular and morular growth pattern, which presented in an 11-year-old girl with follicular nodular disease and a constitutional (germline) DICER1 p.

Background: Müllerian papilloma is a rare benign genital tract tumor, and its malignant transformation is extremely rare. Due to its complex and diverse pathological morphological manifestations, it is prone to misdiagnosis.
Methods: We reported the malignant transformation of Müllerian papilloma into endometrioid carcinoma in two young girls, along with their pathological results.

Purpose: Cholangiocarcinoma is a malignant neoplasm with biliary differentiation and its metastatic spread to the oral and maxillofacial region is a rare event that can pose diagnostic challenges, especially when it is the initial presentation of the disease.
Methods: A 67-year-old woman presented with a painful and hard swelling in the right posterior aspect of the mandible with ulceration of the overlying mucosa. Radiological examination revealed a destructive lesion involving the body and angle of the mandible with cortical bone destruction.
Introduction This study addresses the global controversy over routine bone scans for newly diagnosed prostate cancer patients, focusing on the Ghanaian population. It aims to assess the predictive value of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) for bone metastasis and the role of serum alkaline phosphatase (ALP) in enhancing prediction. Methods This study was conducted at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital over 14 months and included 258 treatment-naïve prostate cancer patients.
