Background: The population of interest to this study comprised individuals with advanced-stage ovarian carcinoma who were exposed to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) followed by interval debulking surgery (IDS). Those who had not received systematic lymphadenectomy (SL; Group 1) were compared to those who had received SL (Group 2). Outcome measures included progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and surgical complications.
Methods: This was a retrospective, multicenter cohort study in nine referral centers of France between January 2000 and June 2017. OS analysis using the multivariate Cox regression model was performed. PFS and surgery-related morbidity were analyzed.
Results: Of the 255 patients included, 100 were in Group 1 and 155 in Group 2. Patient majority was, on average, younger and less comorbid, with predominant R0 surgery in Group 2. Dindo-Clavien score was similar between the two groups ( = 0.15). Median OS was 26.8 months in Group 2 and 27.6 months in Group 1. SL was not statistically significant on OS ( = 0.7). Median PFS was 18.3 months in Group 2 and 16.6 months in Group 1. SL had positive impact on PFS ( = 0.005).
Conclusions: patients who had received SL (Group 2) had significantly higher PFS regardless of node-positivity status when compared to those who had not received SL (Group 1).

Background: In hyponatremic patients, concurrent dialysate flow during hemodialysis may be an ideal option to mitigate complications such as osmotic demyelination syndrome (ODS).
Methods: Present randomized controlled trial enrolled dialysis-requiring chronic kidney disease (CKD) and acute kidney injury (AKI) patients with serum sodium levels < 125 mEq/L during January 2020 over 16 months. Hemodynamically unstable patients, as well as those with a history of seizures and neurological conditions, were excluded.

Objectives: To balance the extended functional urinary voiding and morbidity outcomes amid Ileal W and Y-shaped contrasted to spherical ileocoecal (IC) orthotopic bladders subsequent prostate-sparing radical cystectomy (PRC) versus standard radical cystoprostatectomy (RC).
Material And Methods: Two hundred eight male bladder cancer patients were grouped into 98 RC followed by 43-W, 31-Y, and 23-IC in comparison to 110 PRC followed by 35-W, 37-Y, and 38-IC. The functional voiding outcomes were determined by detailed patients' interview and urodynamic studies (UDS).

Objectives: Juvenile dermatomyositis (JDM) is a heterogeneous autoimmune condition needing targeted treatment approaches and improved understanding of molecular mechanisms driving clinical phenotypes. We utilised exploratory proteomics from a longitudinal North American cohort of patients with new-onset JDM to identify biological pathways at disease onset and follow-up, tissue-specific disease activity, and myositis-specific autoantibody (MSA) status.
Methods: We measured 3072 plasma proteins (Olink panel) in 56 patients with JDM within 12 weeks of starting treatment (from the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance Registry and 3 additional sites) and 8 paediatric controls.

Intra-aneurysmal thrombus formation is crucial for the healing of endovascularly treated aneurysms. This study evaluated whether T1-weighted black blood imaging can monitor thrombus formation by examining the relationship between chronological signal intensity changes and aneurysm occlusion status after flow diverter stenting and coil embolization. We retrospectively analyzed 78 patients with 83 aneurysms (flow diverter stenting: 28, coil embolization: 55) who underwent T1-weighted black blood imaging at 1 week, 3 months, and 6 months post-treatment.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effects of structured orofacial muscle rehabilitation training (OMRT) on the recovery of facial expression muscles in patients with skeletal Class II malocclusion after orthognathic surgery.
Study Design: This randomized controlled trial enrolled 56 skeletal Class II malocclusion patients who underwent orthognathic surgery. The intervention group received structured OMRT, while the control group received standard postoperative care.
