The data article refers to the paper "supramolecular hydrogel based on cellulose for sustained release of therapeutic substances with antimicrobial and wound healing properties"[1]. The dataset includes the synthesis and characterization of (E)-1,3-bis(4-(allyloxy)phenyl)prop‑2-en-1-one (3) (crosslinking agent). Moreover, the multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) synthesis and functionalization (MWCNTs-COOH) are described. The formulation obtained by adding multiwalled carbon nanotubes-COOH with the crosslinked cellulose-chalcone hydrogel is abbreviated as MWCNTsCCH, and the same formulation loaded with therapeutic substances (TS) is named MWCNTsCCH-TS. The MWCNTsCCH database such as components and their amounts, swelling degree, thermogravimetric analysis, and cytotoxicity evaluation are depicted. Finally, to elucidate the mechanism of therapeutic substances release, the obtained averages of the release profiles were fitted through mathematical models.

Myelin is a lipid-rich substance that is crucial for neural function. Neonatal anesthesia has been linked to neurological impairments associated with myelination dysfunction. This study sought to evaluate whether disrupted fatty acid homeostasis is involved in the mechanism of sevoflurane developmental neurotoxicity.

In the zebrafish larval toxicity model, phenotypic changes induced by chemical exposure can potentially be explained and predicted by the analysis of gene expression changes at sub-phenotypic concentrations. The increase in knowledge of gene pathway-specific effects arising from the zebrafish transcriptomic model has the potential to enhance the role of the larval zebrafish as a component of Integrated Approaches to Testing and Assessment (IATA). In this paper, we compared the transcriptomic responses of triphenyl phosphate between two standard exposure paradigms, the Zebrafish Embryo Toxicity (ZET) and General and Behavioural Toxicity (GBT) assays.

Polydrug abuse is the persistent self-administration of more than one reinforcing drug. The present study provided rhesus monkeys concurrent access to two drugs: 8% alcohol and solutions of either cocaine or methadone. The liquids were available under concurrent nonindependent fixed-ratio (FR) schedules across increasing and then decreasing ratio sizes.

An electrical storm (ES) represents one of cardiology's most formidable and life-threatening crises, marked by relentless ventricular arrhythmias within a 24-hour period. While stimulant cardiotoxicity is an escalating concern, the devastating role of methamphetamine in triggering refractory ES and its deleterious outcomes in advanced cardiomyopathy, particularly within the critical care setting, remains profoundly underreported and poorly understood. We present the urgent case of a 44-year-old male with end-stage dilated cardiomyopathy and chronic, heavy methamphetamine abuse, who spiraled into incessant ventricular tachycardia (VT) storm following acute methamphetamine use.

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of some environment- and animal-based factors, such as body condition score (BCS) on 15-20 days before parturition, parity, and calving season on colostrum dry matter (DM), fat, solids-nonfat (SNF), protein, and lactose contents as well as colostrum and calf's serum immunoglobulin (IgG, IgA, and IgM), IGF-1, and lactoferrin concentrations in buffaloes. Therefore, the components of colostrum (at the first milking) and calf serum samples (at 24-48 h and 28 days after birth) from 86 Anatolian buffalo cows were analyzed by an infrared milk analyzer and ELISA test. The high BCS enhanced colostrum DM, fat, and IgG content; calf serum IgG concentration at 24-48 h, and lactoferrin at 28 days compared to low BCS.
