Purpose: The beneficial effects of systematic cisatracurium administration observed in the ACURASYS randomized, multicenter, double-blinded trial may depend on patient-specific factors. This post hoc analysis aimed to explore whether the impact of cisatracurium on mortality varies with baseline characteristics.

Methods: A Markov chain analysis was conducted using daily clinical states from inclusion to day 90: death (state 0), under mechanical ventilation (state 1), or weaned and alive at day 90 (state 2).

First-degree relatives (FDRs) of colorectal cancer patients in China face distinctive health behavior challenges shaped by cultural and familial contexts. Little is known about how familial responsibilities influence their health motivations. This study explored FDRs' perceptions and motivations regarding healthy lifestyles using a qualitative descriptive design.

Thanawala and Erb (2024) found that causal judgments in double prevention scenarios are sensitive to the temporal order of events leading up to an outcome, even when the outcome remains constant across the scenarios. These findings challenged the causal pluralism account proposed by Lombrozo (2010) but ultimately supported its core insight: namely, that reasoners think about causal scenarios in terms of both process and dependency. This dataset provides comprehensive multi-environment trial (MET) results for maize hybrids evaluated under varying vapor pressure deficit (VPD) and water management conditions. Collected over an 11-year period (2009-2019) in Croatia and Turkey, the data include detailed agronomic performance metrics-grain yield, phenological stages, and environmental descriptors-across a range of irrigation regimes and temperature-humidity combinations. The dataset comprises more than 2900 plot-level observations, capturing genetic variance, genotype-by-environment interaction, and yield responses to increasing VPD.

This study reanalysed electrocardiogram (ECG) data collected in a previous study on chum salmon to explore sex-specific differences in heart rate variability (HRV) and autonomic nervous system regulation during spawning. The prior research included six female and five male salmon with implanted ECG loggers, observed during spawning, and ten additional females for pharmacological experiments on autonomic nervous system effects. The analysis uncovered distinct HRV patterns between sexes.
