Systemic thrombolysis is increasingly used for management of arterial thrombosis following cardiac catheterization, and complications apart from bleeding manifestations are not well reported. We report the case of an infant with lower limb ischemia secondary to femoral arterial thrombosis, which developed after cardiac catheterization. Systemic thrombolysis resulted in successful reperfusion of the lower limb. However, the infant subsequently developed compartment syndrome, requiring an emergent fasciotomy. This case highlights the importance of surveillance for the development of reperfusion injury-related compartment syndrome postsystemic thrombolysis for arterial thrombosis.

Purpose: To determine the real-world incidence and predictive factors for venous and arterial thromboembolic events (VTE/AT) in ovarian cancer patients treated with poly-(ADP-ribose) polymerase inhibitors (iPARP).
Methods/patients: A multicenter retrospective study involving 329 ovarian cancer patients who initiated iPARP treatment between January 2015 and December 2022. The primary outcome was the incidence of VTE/AT.

We describe a case of a woman in her 70s who presented with acute chest pain and ST-segment elevation on ECG. Multimodality cardiac imaging confirmed Takotsubo cardiomyopathy alongside a pedunculated left ventricular mass, presumed to be a thrombus, with suspected embolisation to the left anterior descending artery, triggering an acute myocardial infarction. She received guideline-directed medical therapy for heart failure and anticoagulation for the thrombus.

Introduction: Although smoking cessation has been shown to improve outcomes after lower extremity revascularization (LER), the impact of cessation duration has not been well defined. This study investigates the impact of two cessation durations on LER outcomes in patients with chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI).
Methods: The Peripheral Vascular Intervention, Infrainguinal Bypass, and Suprainguinal Bypass modules of the Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI) were utilized to identify patients whose first recorded LER occurred between 2016-2024 for CLTI.

This study aimed to explore subclinical venous involvement in SLE using biochemical and imaging modalities, focusing on vein wall thickness (VWT) and inflammation-related biomarkers.
Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 68 SLE patients were categorized based on antiphospholipid antibody (APA) status and clinical APS.

Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is an autoimmune disorder characterized primarily by arterial and/or venous thrombosis, obstetric complications and persistent positivity for antiphospholipid antibodies (aPLs). It has been proposed that the pathogenesis of APS is closely associated with vascular endothelial cell activation, complement activation and platelet activation. Notably, APS may be key to understanding the relationship between innate immune cells, and thrombosis and obstetric complications.
