The in-plane crashworthiness of multi-layer regularly arranged circular honeycombs are investigated numerically at = 1-250 m/s, with aim to disclose the influences of / ratio and crushing velocity, . A novel evaluation methodology of crashworthiness and a new mechanical term, most appropriate strain, are put forward, which results in some new evaluation parameters. The theoretical analysis shows the most appropriate strain is a significant parameter for measuring the crashworthiness. Different deformation modes cause different change rules of these evaluation parameters. Under the quasi-static homogeneous mode and transition mode, the most appropriate strain is linear with the / ratio for a given ; the crushing force efficiency is approximately independent of / and sensitive to the ; the maximum energy absorption efficiency roughly decreases and then fluctuates. With the increase of , the crushing force efficiency first becomes smaller sharply, and then fluctuates. Under dynamic mode, the maximum energy absorption efficiency is nearly constant for a given / ratio. Based on the finite element results, the empirical expressions of all evaluation parameters are given. The finite element calculated results of optimal specific energy absorption are consistent with those calculated by empirical expressions, which validates all empirical expressions.

Background: Actinomyces graevenitzii is a relatively uncommon Actinomyces species, which is an oral species and predominantly recovered from respiratory locations [1,2]. It is a gram-positive anaerobic bacteria or microaerobic filamentation bacteria, which can induce pyogenic and granulomatous inflammation characterized by swelling and concomitant pus, sinus formation, and the formation of yellow sulfur granules. All tissues and organs can be infected; the most common type involves the neck and face (55%), followed by the abdominal and pelvic cavities (20%).

The aim of the study was to assess the effect of lyophilized cell-free supernatant (CFS) obtained from Lacticaseibacillus paracasei B1 and Lactiplantibacillus plantarum O24 cultures on the characteristics of cooked pork sausages stored by 21 days at 4 °C. The following parameters were assessed: antioxidant activity (ABTS, Reducing Power, Fe-chelating activity), texture parameters (hardness, springiness, gumminess, chewiness) and color changes (L*,a*,b*), as well as the fatty acid profile and TBARS content as an indicator of lipid oxidation. The appearance of long-lasting behavioral alterations is considered critical for the characterization of acute stressors as putative animal models of PTSD. However, the traumatic nature of the different stressors used is objectively difficult to demonstrate and literature is plagued by inconsistent results. In the present study we wanted to demonstrate the relevance of qualitative aspects of stressors not linked to their severity (as evaluated by classical biological markers) and how the use of different mouse or rat strains can contribute to the inconsistencies.
