The generation of ultrahigh intensity laser pulses was investigated by tightly focusing a wavefront-corrected multi-petawatt Ti:sapphire laser. For the wavefront correction of the PW laser, two stages of deformable mirrors were employed. The multi-PW laser beam was tightly focused by an f/1.6 off-axis parabolic mirror and the focal spot profile was measured. After the wavefront correction, the Strehl ratio was about 0.4, and the spot size in full width at half maximum was 1.5×1.8 μm, close to the diffraction-limited value. The measured peak intensity was 5.5×10 W/cm, achieving the highest laser intensity ever reached.

Purpose: Real‑time magnetic resonance-guided radiation therapy (MRgRT) integrates MRI with a linear accelerator (Linac) for gating and adaptive radiotherapy, which requires robust image‑quality assurance over a large field of view (FOV). Specialized phantoms capable of accommodating this extensive FOV are therefore essential. This study compares the performance of four commercial MRI phantoms on a 0.

Drought stress affects plant growth and production. To cope with drought stress, plants induced physiological and metabolic changes, serving as a protective approach under drought-stress conditions. The response to drought can vary based on plant type (C3 vs.

Background: With the advancement of MR-based imaging, prostate cancer ablative therapies have seen increased interest to reduce complications of prostate cancer treatment. Although less invasive, they do carry procedural risks, including rectal injury. To date, the medicolegal aspects of ablative therapy remain underexplored.

We report on the development of a robust microfluidic nozzle capable of generating replenishing liquid sheet targets with sub-micron thickness at up to kHz repetition rates, a λ/20 surface flatness over areas of at least 100 μm2, and in-vacuum dimensions of 6 × 1.5 mm2. The platform was evaluated for stability under hundreds of 4.

Sum-frequency generation vibrational spectroscopy (SFG-VS) has been well-established as a unique spectroscopic probe to interrogate the structure, interaction, and dynamics of molecular interfaces, with sub-monolayer sensitivity and broad applications. Sub-1 cm-1 High-Resolution Broadband SFG-VS (HR-BB-SFG-VS) has shown advantages with high spectral resolution and accurate spectral line shape. However, due to the lower peak intensity for the long picosecond pulse used in achieving sub-wavenumber resolution in the HR-BB-SFG-VS measurement, only molecular interfaces with relatively strong signal have been studied.
