Background: Umbilical arterial catheterisation is a common intervention performed in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) especially in extremely preterm and extremely low birth weight neonates. Rarely catheter fracture or breakage can occur, leaving behind part of the catheter in the aorta. A handful of cases have been reported in the literature, with the majority being managed surgically.

In this review, we aimed to evaluate Sonothrombolysis when combined with primary percutaneous coronary intervention (pPCI) in STEMI patients with regard to improving cardiac function and clinical outcomes. This study primarily assesses short-term efficacy outcomes, while long-term impacts, such as mortality, were not evaluated. Following the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines, we searched four electronic databases (PubMed, Scopus, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science) to identify eligible studies reported up to November 2024.

Purpose: Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) is a common technique in the surgical management of renal lithiasis, but it also represents a significant workload for surgeons. Factors such as the patient's position and the type of lithotripter used influence the physical and mental load on the surgeon. The study aimed to identify stressors related to PCNL by comparing the physical and mental workload experienced by urologists during PCNL under different patient positions and using two lithotripters.

Objective: To investigate the incidence, risk factors and clinical consequences of acute kidney injury (AKI) following mini-percutaneous nephrolithotomy (mini-PCNL), with particular focus on its association with postoperative infectious complications.

Materials And Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 496 adult patients who underwent mini-PCNL (22 Ch) between February 2020 and April 2025. AKI was defined according to KDIGO criteria as either a ≥ 1.
