Background: With the development of modern agriculture, neonicotinoid pesticides have been widely used due to their high efficiency and strong systemic properties. However, excessive use leads to the accumulation of residues in the food chain, threatening the ecosystem and human health. Pesticide residues are easily accumulated in oilseed crops and become concentrated during the edible oil refining process.

Switchable surfactants exhibit broad application potential due to their reversible response to external stimuli. The reversible mechanism of the CO-switchable surfactant ('-dodecyl-, -dimethyl-acetamidines, DDA) solubilization polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and the microscopic dynamic behavior of emulsification/demulsification were systematically studied using coarse-grained molecular dynamics simulations. The dynamic transition processes of protonation (DDA to DDA) and deprotonation (DDA to DDA) were successfully simulated.

This study evaluated the effect of a nutraceutical supplementation (NS) and Mediterranean hypocaloric diet (MHD) on hepatic steatosis indices (HSIs), γ-glutamyl transferase (γGT), and lipid profile in adults with hyperlipidemia and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). In vitro study on HepG2 cells explored potential molecular mechanisms. A retrospective study was conducted on 45 overweight/obese subjects (19 M) prescribed MHD with/without NS.

Background: Traditional cardiovascular risk assessment entails investigator-defined exposure levels and individual risk markers in multivariable analysis. We sought to determine whether an alternative unbiased learning analysis might provide further insights into vascular risk.
Methods: We conducted an unsupervised learning (k-means cluster) analysis in the Women's Health Study (N=26 443) using baseline levels of triglycerides, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol to form novel exposures.

Background: We sought to investigate the association between circulating inflammatory and cardiovascular proteomics biomarkers and cardiac autonomic nervous dysfunction-sensitive heart rate variability indices.
Methods: Using the population-based KORA (Cooperative Health Research in the Region of Augsburg) cohort, 233 proteomics biomarkers were quantified in baseline plasma samples of 1389 individuals using proximity extension assay technology. Five heart rate variability indices (Rényi entropy of the histogram with order [α] 4, total power of the density spectra, SD of word sequence, SD of the short-term normal-to-normal interval variability, compression entropy) were assessed at baseline in 982 individuals and in 407 individuals at baseline and at 14-year follow-up.
