Timely, consistent and integrated access to clinical trial data remains one of the pharmaceutical industry's most pressing needs. As part of a comprehensive clinical data repository, we have developed a data warehouse that can integrate operational data from any source, conform it to a canonical data model and make it accessible to study teams in a timely, secure and contextualized manner to support operational oversight, proactive risk management and other analytic and reporting needs. Our solution consists of a dimensional relational data warehouse, a set of extraction, transformation and loading processes to coordinate data ingestion and mapping, a generalizable metrics engine to enable the computation of operational metrics and key performance, quality and risk indicators and a set of graphical user interfaces to facilitate configuration, management and administration. When combined with the appropriate data visualization tools, the warehouse enables convenient access to raw operational data and derived metrics to help track study conduct and performance, identify and mitigate risks, monitor and improve operational processes, manage resource allocation, strengthen investigator and sponsor relationships and other purposes.

The Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals provides recommendations on sanitation frequencies for rodent caging equipment; however, it allows for performance standards to be used when extending this frequency for individually ventilated cage (IVC) caging. Our institution wanted to reexamine our current standards of care for mouse IVC caging, which includes a 14-d cage bottom and bedding change as well as the use of corncob bedding. This was driven by desire to reduce the stress to mice associated with cage change, and by recent literature showing a potential improved absorbency and multiple health and welfare benefits of paper pulp cellulose bedding products.

Preclinical stroke research faces a critical translational gap, with animal studies failing to reliably predict clinical efficacy. To address this, the field is moving toward rigorous, multicenter preclinical randomized controlled trials (mpRCTs) that mimic phase 3 clinical trials in several key components. Objective: This study applied the Theoretical Domains Framework (TDF) to explore the barriers and enablers to optimizing post-operative pain management and supporting safe opioid use from the perspectives of both patients and health care professionals, applying the Theoretical Domains Framework (TDF).
Design: Experience-based co-design (EBCD) qualitative study.
Methods: In the initial phase of the EBCD approach, focus groups were conducted comprising 20 participants, including 8 patients and 12 health care professionals involved in post-operative care.

Purpose: To evaluate the feasibility of abbreviated liver magnetic resonance imaging (AMRI) with a second-shot arterial phase (SSAP) image for the viability of treated hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after non-radiation locoregional therapy (LRT).
Methods: We retrospectively enrolled patients with non-radiation LRT for HCC who underwent the modified gadoxetic acid-enhanced liver MRI protocol, which includes routine dynamic and SSAP imaging after the first and second injection of gadoxetic acid, respectively (6 mL and 4 mL, respectively), and an available reference standard for tumor viability in the treated HCC between March 2021 and February 2022. Two radiologists independently reviewed the full-protocol MRI (FP-MRI) and AMRI with SSAP.
