In this brief, the problem of delay-dependent stability of recurrent neural networks with time-varying delays is studied. A newly augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) that considers the information of the nonzero lower bound of time-varying delays is developed. Moreover, the information of the delayed state terms is not considered as elements of augmented vectors when constructing the LKF. An improved stability criterion with the framework of linear matrix inequalities is derived by employing the integral inequality and reciprocally convex combination. With the comparison to the existing ones, the developed stability criterion for neural networks has less conservatism and complexity. Finally, two widely used numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness and superiority of the obtained stability criterion.

A novel practical predefined-time sliding mode control strategy is proposed for the flight formation of a small tandem-rotor wheeled UAV (TRW-UAV) with unknown upper bound external disturbances and uncertainties in this paper. Firstly, a new predefined-time sliding mode surface is proposed to guide all errors of the position and velocity loops to converge to the origin in a predefined-time. Furthermore, a dynamic surface control approach is utilized to circumvent the higher-order differentiation when controlling the actuator loop.

One important property of any drug product is its stability over time. A key objective in drug stability studies is to estimate the shelf-life of a drug, involving a suitable definition of the true shelf-life and the construction of an appropriate estimate of the true shelf-life. Simultaneous confidence bands (SCBs) for percentiles in linear regression are valuable tools for determining the shelf-life in drug stability studies.

Background: Sleep quality has emerged as a critical public health concern, yet our understanding of how multiple determinants interact to influence sleep outcomes remains limited. This study employed partial correlation network analysis to examine the hierarchical structure of sleep quality determinants among Chinese adults.
Methods: We investigated the interrelationships among nine key factors: daily activity rhythm, social interaction frequency, work-life balance, light exposure, physical activity level, time control perception, shift work, weekend catch-up sleep, and sleep quality using the extended Bayesian Information Criterion (EBIC) glasso model.

Criterion shifting reflects a complex interplay between cognitive strategies and external influences, yet individuals differ markedly in their tendency to adjust decision thresholds. While some readily adapt their criteria in response to task demands, others maintain more rigid thresholds, raising questions about the extent to which external pressures - such as social influence - can drive greater flexibility. Findings from social psychology reveal that social pressure can heavily impact individual decision-making, suggesting that such pressures may also impact individual criterion shifting tendencies.

Objective: This study evaluated the coherence, consistency, and diagnostic accuracy of eight AI-based chatbots in clinical scenarios related to dental implants.
Methods: A double-blind, clinical experimental study was carried out between February and March 2025, to evaluate eight AI-based chatbots using six fictional cases simulating peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis. Each chatbot answered five standardized clinical questions across three independent runs per case, generating 720 binary outputs.
