A 64-year-old man visited his physician complaining of bilateral gynecomastia and left shoulder pain. Chest X-ray showed multiple bilateral masses in the lung, and he was referred to our hospital. Radiographical findings, elevation of serum total hCG, and histological findings of the cervical lymph node revealed multiple pulmonary, nodal, and brain metastases of poorly differentiated carcinoma of an unknown primary site with choriocarcinoma components. He was administered a regimen of reduced bleomycin, cisplatin, etoposide combination(reduced BEP regimen)to reduce the risk of acute respiratory failure with intra-alveolar hemorrhage related to post-chemotherapy early tumor necrosis. After chemotherapy, the tumor marker hCG levels were almost restored to normal levels, and radiography showed he had achieved a clinical partial response.

Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the most prevalent form of thyroid cancer with a high incidence among endocrine malignancies. It tends to metastasize early in lymph nodes and differs markedly from other subtypes in biological behavior, clinical management, and prognosis. Therefore, accurately distinguishing PTC from other pathological subtypes is crucial for guiding diagnosis and treatment decisions.

Purpose: Bronchiolar adenoma (BA) is a rare benign pulmonary neoplasm originating from the bronchial mucosal epithelium and mimics lung adenocarcinoma (LAC) both radiographically and microscopically. This study aimed to develop a nomogram for distinguishing BA from LAC by integrating clinical characteristics and artificial intelligence (AI)-derived histogram parameters across two medical centers.
Methods: This retrospective study included 215 patients with diagnoses confirmed by postoperative pathology from two medical centers.

Significance: Tumor tissues exhibit contrast with healthy tissue in circular degree of polarization (DOP) images via higher magnitude circular DOP values and increased helicity-flipping. This phenomenon may enable polarimetric tumor detection and surgical/procedural guidance applications.
Aim: Depolarization metrics have been shown to exhibit differential responses to healthy and cancer tissue, whereby tumor tissues tend to induce less depolarization; however, the understanding of this depolarization-based contrast remains limited.

Muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) with cardiac metastasis typically carries a very poor prognosis. A Black woman in her 70s developed high-grade urothelial carcinoma with squamous differentiation invading the bladder muscle. Despite chemotherapy, radiation, and nephrostomy, the disease progressed.

Hepatoid carcinoma of the ovary (HCO) is a highly uncommon and aggressive neoplasm originating from the surface epithelial cells of the ovary, characterized by hepatocyte-like differentiation. To date, most information on HCO is derived from case reports, with fewer than 50 documented cases globally. In this case report, we present a detailed account of the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of a patient diagnosed as having bilateral HCO, which is even rarer.
