Objective: This study presents a Danish test battery for auditory processing disorder (APD). The tests were evaluated as to normative cut-off values (pass-fail criteria) and their test-retest reliability.
Design: The battery consists of four behavioural tests: the filtered words (FW) test, the dichotic digits (DD) test, the gap detection (GD) test and the binaural masking level difference (BMLD) test. The tests were evaluated through listening experiments on children with no known history of auditory problems.
Study Sample: The normative cut-off values were obtained from 158 children (75 boys and 83 girls, aged 6-16 years), whereas the test-retest reliability was obtained from 20 children (10 boys and 10 girls, aged 6-11 years).
Results: For each of the four tests one to four different cut-off values were determined depending on whether the scores from the two ears and the different age groups could be pooled. For each of the four tests the test-retest reliability was found to be satisfactory. The test-retest reliability was highest for the FW and the DD test.
Conclusions: A Danish APD test battery is now available for clinical use with normative data.

Understanding hydrogen bonding and ion-specific interactions in water, sodium sulfate (NaSO), and acetonitrile (ACN) systems remains challenging due to their complex, dynamic nature. Here, Raman spectroscopy is employed to probe hydrogen bonding networks and ion reorganization in NaSO aqueous solutions with different ACN concentrations. The results indicate that, at low ACN concentrations in the ternary solutions, hydrogen bonding between ACN and water molecules disrupts the original hydration structure of the ions, resulting in the formation of small ion clusters via electrostatic interactions.

Objectives: This study examined the association between adherence to the Dutch MIND diet (Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay, MIND-NL) and the Dutch dietary guidelines (DHD2015-index) with global cognitive function in older adults at risk of cognitive decline.
Design And Setting: A cross-sectional study was conducted using baseline data of the FINGER-NL trial.
Participants: A total of 1,135 older adults, aged 60-80 years, at risk for cognitive decline with complete dietary data and complete neuropsychological tests were included in the analyses.

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs) represent an environmentally benign energy storage alternative. However, the VO cathode suffers from limited cycling stability and rate capability due to structural instability, vanadium dissolution, and high desolvation energy caused by the large size of [Zn(HO)] deintercalation. Address these issues, we introduce a VO/VOPO (VOP) heterostructure that that reinforces the crystal structure to suppress vanadium dissolution and establishes a hydrophilic interface reducing the desolvation energy of Zn.
