Background And Objectives: Older adults living with dementia are a heterogeneous group, which can make studying optimal medication management challenging. Unsupervised machine learning is a group of computing methods that rely on unlabeled data-that is, where the algorithm itself is discovering patterns without the need for researchers to label the data with a known outcome. These methods may help us to better understand complex prescribing patterns in this population.

Background: The dynamic progression of gray matter (GM) microstructural alterations following radiotherapy (RT) in patients, and the relationship between these microstructural abnormalities and cortical morphometric changes remains unclear.
Purpose: To longitudinally characterize RT-related GM microstructural changes and assess their potential causal links with classic morphometric alterations in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).
Study Type: Prospective, longitudinal.

Pretraining plays a pivotal role in acquiring generalized knowledge from large-scale data, achieving remarkable successes as evidenced by large models in CV and NLP. However, progress in the graph domain remains limited due to fundamental challenges represented by feature heterogeneity and structural heterogeneity. Recent efforts have been made to address feature heterogeneity via Large Language Models (LLMs) on text-attributed graphs (TAGs) by generating fixed-length text representations as node features.

Introduction: Severe community-acquired pneumonia (SCAP) in immunocompromised patients is often caused by rare atypical pathogens, which are difficult to detect using conventional microbiological tests (CMTs) and can progress to sepsis in severe cases. Metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS), an emerging pathogen detection technique, enables rapid identification of mixed infections and provides valuable guidance for clinical treatment decisions. SCAP-induced sepsis caused by a six-pathogen co-infection has not been previously reported, but interpretation remains a challenge.

Background: Cerebellar pathologies in adults can have a wide range of hereditary, acquired and sporadic-degenerative causes. Due to the frequency in daily hospital, especially intensive care, settings, electrolyte imbalances are an important, yet rare differential diagnosis. The hypomagnesemia-induced cerebellar syndrome (HiCS) constitutes a relevant disease entity with clinical and morphological variability due to a potential progression of symptoms and a promising causal treatment.
