Article Abstract

A 69-year-old man presented with back pain over the prior few months and was hospitalized because of bilateral adrenal masses and fracture of the left sixth rib. The mass on the right measured 6.5×3.6×7.0 cm, that on the left 8.1×4.8×6.9 cm, on CT. The final diagnosis was CD5- and CD10-positive primary adrenal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (PA-DLBCL) with rib involvement. After EPOCH therapy accompanied with rituximab and intrathecal treatment, the tumors decreased dramatically. However, he died due to disease progression 8 months after the diagnosis. The prognosis of CD5- and CD10-positive PA-DLBCL may be very poor even with rituximab-containing chemotherapy.

Triple-negative invasive lobular carcinoma (TN-ILC) is a rare and highly aggressive subtype of breast cancer. The development of gastric metastases in breast cancer is extremely rare and typically occurs several years after initial diagnosis. The present case report describes a 68-year-old postmenopausal female patient who presented with TN-ILC with gastric metastases at initial diagnosis.

The diffuse neuroendocrine system (DNES) consists of dispersed neuroendocrine (NE) cells that bridge nervous, immune, and endocrine pathways across organs. Evolutionarily, DNES traces to primitive metazoans where single cells combined neural and immune roles, later diversifying into specialized vertebrate NE cells. Hallmark traits include dense-core granules, amine metabolism, "salt-and-pepper" chromatin, and regulation by ASCL1, NEUROG3, and INSM1.

Substrate recycling amplification enabled by hierarchically mesoporous MOFs for the specific screening of pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma.

The sensitive and specific diagnosis of pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma (PPGL) remains challenging due to the low abundance of their detectable biomarker of catecholamines (CAs) in serum. Herein, we established an enzyme-assisted substrate recycling amplification model based on a hierarchically mesoporous UiO-66-NH (HMAUiO) to address these difficulties. Such porous platform was constructed by the Hofmeister ion-assisted nanoemulsion method with mesoporous size beyond 20 nm, in which Pt (II) meso-tetra(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin (TCPP-Pt) was incorporated within the microporous framework to form an HMAUiO-Pt sensing probe.

Psychotherapy is the primary treatment for adolescent Borderline Personality Pathology (BPP), yet its mechanisms remain unclear. Given potential self-report biases due to alexithymia and impaired interoception, this study examined cortisol responses as a physiological stress marker alongside session ratings from adolescent BPP patients and their therapists to assess its potential as a complementary measure in psychotherapy process research. N = 56 adolescents (94.

A 57-year-old male underwent an incidental left adrenal tumor resection because of malignancy concerns. The tumor demonstrated a heterogeneous yellowish-white color. Histological features were characterized by nuclear atypia, diffuse growth, sinusoidal invasion, and mucin deposition in most stromal regions, leading to the diagnosis of a myxoid adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC).
