Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) are environmentally persistent, bioaccumulative, and toxic chemicals that contaminate global drinking water resources. Their ubiquity and potential impact on human health motivate large-scale remediation. Background: A high onchocerciasis disease burden and a low coverage of community-directed treatment with ivermectin (CDTI) have been observed in many parts of South Sudan. In the Maridi County, CDTI was re-introduced in 2017 and various interventions implemented to improve coverage.

Methods: Through successive community-based surveys, we investigated whether an onchocerciasis awareness campaign and a switch from annual to bi-annual distribution of ivermectin in Maridi County increased CDTI coverage.

This study applies Fisher's investment framework to investigate how patient capital affects firms' green total factor productivity (GTFP). Using panel data from Chinese listed companies over the period 2008-2023, we measure firm-level GTFP by employing a non-radial SBM directional distance function combined with the Malmquist-Luenberger productivity index. Our analysis, based on two-way fixed-effects models and instrumental variable regressions, reveals that an increase in patient capital significantly enhances firms' green total factor productivity.
