Ion Luminescent Micelles: A Surfactant-Mediated Double-End Signal Amplification Strategy for Portable Detection of Phoxim.

Residues of organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) raise considerable concern, while achieving high enough detection sensitivity is still a challenge for on-site fluorescence techniques. Herein, we report a "double-end samplification" strategy by encapsulating a low-emission fluorescent ion probe [DCF][P] into a cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) hydrophobic core to form ionic luminescent micelles. At the probe end, ionic liquid micelles locally concentrated the probes, achieving a 350-fold fluorescence enhancement.

The variability in hardware specifications and environmental factors poses significant challenges to the use of smartphone cameras in analytical measurement. Towards time-resolved color analysis and reaction monitoring, we systematically quantified multiple sources of measurement uncertainty in smartphone-based color measurements, finding that while sensor repeatability is high ( ), lighting conditions and viewing angles can introduce substantial bias ( versus reference colors increasing by up to 64% at oblique angles). We implemented and evaluated a matrix-based image color correction methodology using a color reference chart, reducing inter-device and lighting-dependent variations by 65-70% (quantified by the color change metric, ).

Accurate and standardized color measurement of non-planar surfaces in non-contact scenarios remains a challenge, primarily due to complex measurement conditions such as uncontrolled illumination and variable surface scattering properties. To address this issue, a multispectral imaging colorimetric measurement method for non-planar surfaces based on uniform illumination and illumination-adaptive white calibration was proposed. The colorimetric characterization method relies on spectral reconstruction using a multiple-channel input backpropagation neural network, which processes the imaging system's output with illumination-adaptive white calibration and spectral fusion techniques.

Dual-channel sensing system for p-nitrophenol based on Rhodamine 6G-Sulfur quantum dots.

Institute of Environmental Science, Shanxi University, Taiyuan, Shanxi, 030031, China. Electronic address:

Background: Based on the biocompatibility and excellent photoluminescence, sulfur quantum dots (SQDs) have been applied to detect metal ions, lactate dehydrogenase, tartrazine and other compounds. But most of the reported sensing SQDs have a single emission, which is greatly affected by external conditions such as sensing environment, photobleaching, and other factors, and then decreasing the accuracy of sensing system, especially for the sensing in real samples. This often requires more accurate and reliable ratio fluorescent detection to overcome these drawbacks based on its self-correction to environmental interference.

Analytical Device and Prediction Method for Urine Component Concentrations.

Micromachines (Basel)

July 2025

Changchun Chunqiu Technology Development Co., Ltd, Changchun 130022, China.

To tackle the low-accuracy problem with analyzing urine component concentrations in real time, a fully automated dipstick analysis device of urine dry chemistry was designed, and a prediction method combining an image acquisition system with a whale optimization algorithm (WOA) for BP neural network optimization was proposed. The image acquisition system, which comprised an ESP32S3 chip and a GC2145 camera, was used to collect the urine test strip images, and then color data were calibrated by image processing and color correction on the upper computer. The correlations between reflected light and concentrations were established following the Kubelka-Munk theory and the Beer-Lambert law.
