Here, we describe a method enabling the phenotypic profiling of genome-scale deletion collections of fungal mutants to detect phenotypes for various stress conditions. These stress conditions include among many others antifungal drug susceptibility, temperature-induced and osmotic as well as heavy metal or oxidative stress. The protocol was extensively used to phenotype a collection of gene deletion mutants in the human fungal pathogen () (Schwarzmüller , 2014).

Background: Serratia marcescens is an opportunistic pathogen increasingly associated with healthcare-associated infections and rising antimicrobial resistance. The emergence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) and carbapenem-resistant S. marcescens (CRSM) presents significant therapeutic challenges.

Neurotoxicity is a common and potentially severe adverse effect from conventional and novel cancer therapy. The mechanisms that underlie clinical symptoms of central and peripheral nervous system injury remain incompletely understood. For conventional cytotoxic chemotherapy or radiotherapy, direct toxicities to brain structures and neurovascular damage may result in myelin degradation and impaired neurogenesis, which eventually translates into delayed neurodegeneration accompanied by cognitive symptoms.

Frailty, often linked to sarcopenia, involves reduced muscle strength and mass. While sarcopenia has multiple causes, impaired muscle protein synthesis may contribute. Leucine and resistance training (RT) are anabolic stimuli, but the long-term effects of leucine combined with RT in pre/frail older women remain unclear.

CD4 T follicular helper (T) cells support tailored B cell responses against multiple classes of pathogens. To reveal how diverse T phenotypes are established, we profiled mouse T cells in response to viral, helminth and bacterial infection. We identified a core T signature that is distinct from CD4 T follicular regulatory and effector cells and identified pathogen-specific transcriptional modules that shape T function.

Suaeda salsa(S.salsa) is a promising halophytic species for vegetation restoration in highly saline-alkali soils. Carboxylated single-walled carbon nanotubes (COOH-SWCNTs) have emerged as potential agents for modulating plant responses to abiotic stress.
