While the chemical composition of semiconducting metal halide perovskites can be precisely controlled in thin films for photovoltaic devices, the synthesis of perovskite nanostructures with tunable dimensions and composition has not been realized. Here, we describe the templated synthesis of uniform perovskite nanowires with controlled diameter (50-200 nm). Importantly, by providing three examples (CH3NH3PbI3, CH3NH3PbBr3, and Cs2SnI6), we show that this process is composition general and results in oriented nanowire arrays on transparent conductive substrates.

Replication of cellular chromosomes requires a primase to generate short RNA primers to initiate genomic replication. While bacterial and archaeal primase generate short RNA primers, the eukaryotic primase, Polα-primase, contains both RNA primase and DNA polymerase (Pol) subunits that function together to form a >20 base hybrid RNA-DNA primer. Interestingly, the DNA Pol1 subunit of Polα lacks a 3'-5' proofreading exonuclease, contrary to the high-fidelity normally associated with DNA replication.

The functionality of covalent organic frameworks (COFs) is usually highly related to their morphologies. Among various morphologies, the hollow-structured COFs have recently attracted intense attention due to their unique properties. Herein, the synthesis of hollow structured COFs are first reported with the chiral internal sites via combining the chiral templating method with the acid etching approach.

Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) has shown potential for early disease diagnosis via urinary metabolomics, but still faces challenges in achieving stable hot spots and processing complex clinical data. In this study, the preparation of chiral gold nanostars with precisely controllable branch size, number, and sharpness was realized by investigating the effects of l-GSH and CTA ( indicates halides) on site occupancy, reduction rate, and selective adsorption on crystal facets. Raman spectroscopic characterization using rhodamine 6G (R6G) as a reporter molecule revealed that nanoparticles with fewer branches, larger branch bases, and smoother surfaces exhibited excellent SERS activity, with an analytical enhancement factor (AEF) of 5.

Background: Migraine care is often suboptimal owing to undertreatment, variation in clinical outcomes and administration methods among existing treatments, and between- and within-individual heterogeneity in the clinical course of migraine. In response to these challenges, preference studies have been increasingly conducted to inform treatment decision-making and development. However, gaps remain in understanding how treatment preferences have been assessed across different migraine studies.

Diversity-oriented synthesis (DOS) has emerged as an efficient strategy for constructing diverse compound libraries, facilitating hit or lead identification in the drug discovery process. In parallel, developing diverse transformations at different sites is an appealing strategy to expand the diversity of appendages on scaffolds. Owing to the availability of C-H bonds at multiple sites of pharmacophores, diversity-oriented C-H activation reactions are an ideal approach to realize this goal.
