A novel efficient tandem reaction of hydrazones and α-bromo ketones is reported for the preparation of 1,3,5-trisubstituted pyrazoles by visible light catalysis. In this system, the monosubstituted hydrazones show wonderful reaction activity with alkyl radicals, generated from α-bromo ketones. A radical addition followed by intramolecular cyclization affords the important pyrazole skeleton in good to excellent yields. This efficient strategy under mild conditions with wide group tolerance provides a potential approach to the 1,3,5-trisubstituted pyrazoles.

A triphenyl-imidazole end-capped donor-acceptor type potential molecular probe 3 has been designed and synthesized. Probe 3 upon interaction with different classes of metal ions/anions and NPPs displayed high selectivity with CN anion (LOD = 20.42 nM) through fluorescence "turn-Off" response and a naked-eye sensitive visible color change.

A palladium-catalyzed cascade coupling/retro-Claisen reaction of CF-substituted β-diketones with readily available -difluorocyclopropanes has been developed. This methodology allows for the expedient synthesis of γ-fluorinated γ,δ-unsaturated ketones in a one-pot procedure with a broad scope and good to excellent yields.

Statement Of Problem: While valued for their durability in dental prosthetics, polyaryletherketone (PAEK) materials, known for their chemical inertness and low surface energy, pose significant challenges in achieving durable adhesion to resin cements, a critical factor for the long-term success of dental restorations.
Purpose: This study evaluates the novel application of a methyl methacrylate-urethane dimethacrylate (MMA-UDMA) bonding primer following handheld nonthermal plasma (HNP) treatment to enhance the bonding performance and aging durability of PAEK materials with varying microfiller compositions, addressing the persistent challenge of achieving long-term adhesion in dental restorations.
Material And Methods: Three PAEK types, ceramic-filled polyetheretherketone (PEEK), titanium dioxide-filled polyetherketoneketone (PEKK), and PEEK with disk shape (Ø10×2.

This study systematically evaluated the inhibitory effects of model compounds from sludge-derived hydrothermal liquefaction aqueous phase (HTLaq) on anaerobic digestion (AD) at both mesophilic and thermophilic temperatures using a total of 1008 anaerobic toxicity assays (ATA). Twenty representative compounds of suspected inhibitors, including nitrogen-containing heterocyclics like pyridines, pyrrolidinones, and pyrazines, as well as phenols and ketones, were tested at varying dosages (25, 50, 100, 200, 400, and 800 mg/L) to assess their impact on volatile fatty acids (VFA) generation and consumption, methane production, substrate utilization, and inhibitory compound degradation. Results demonstrated that thermophilic AD is generally more susceptible to inhibition than mesophilic AD, both in terms of acute and chronic toxicity.
