This research examines the depiction of Thailand on YouTube subsequent to the nation's decision to legalize recreational marijuana in June 2022. By analyzing 57 video clips recorded between March and September 2022, we investigate the evolution of Thailand's digital image after the legalization of cannabis in the country. The outcomes of our study demonstrate a predominantly favorable account, highlighting the incorporation of marijuana into Thai society, its therapeutic capabilities, and its potential as a lucrative economic commodity.

Objectives: Twitter has been used to express a diverse range of public opinions about cannabis legalization in Thailand. The purpose of this study was to observe changes in sentiments after cannabis legalization and to investigate health-related topics discussed on Twitter.
Methods: Tweets in Thai and English related to cannabis were scraped from Twitter between May 1 and June 13, 2022, during cannabis legalization in Thailand.

This study explores the Chinese media narrative of Thailand as a tourist destination after Thailand legalised cannabis use for medicinal purposes, using framing and social identity theories. A content analysis was performed by three coders on 128 posts obtained between 2019 and 2022 from four media houses on the Chinese social media platform Weibo: Taiguo.com, Taihuabbs, Vision Thai, and The Sing Sian Media.
