Digital design technologies have been applied extensively in dental medicine, especially in the field of dental restoration. The all-ceramic crown is an important restoration type of dental CAD systems. This paper presents a robust tooth surface reconstruction algorithm for all-ceramic crown design. The algorithm involves three necessary steps: standard tooth initial positioning and division; salient feature point extraction using Morse theory; and standard tooth deformation using iterative Laplacian Surface Editing and mesh stitching. This algorithm can retain the morphological features of the tooth surface well. It is robust and suitable for almost all types of teeth, including incisor, canine, premolar, and molar. Moreover, it allows dental technicians to use their own preferred library teeth for reconstruction. The algorithm has been successfully integrated in our Dental CAD system, more than 1000 clinical cases have been tested to demonstrate the robustness and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Objectives: to evaluate the effect of smear-layer deproteinization using papain gel and SPRG-adhesive on marginal-gap, anti-demineralization of enamel and dentin after chemical pH cycling and assess acid-base resistance zone (ABRZ) characteristics.
Methods: Cylindrical cavities were prepared cervically in thirty-two extracted premolars. Teeth were divided into two pretreatment groups (n=16); deproteinization with papain enzyme gel (Papacarie Due, Brazil) for 60 second, and no-deproteinization.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of occlusion type and artificial intelligence-based computer-aided design (CAD) software on the geometric accuracy and clinical quality of auto-generated anterior and posterior crown designs.
Methods: Five typodont models representing various occlusion types (normal, Class I anterior diastema, Class II division 1, Class II division 2, and Class III anterior crossbite occlusion) underwent crown preparation for the maxillary right central incisor and first molar. Ten sets of intraoral scans were obtained from each prepared model, and crown designs were automatically generated using two software programs: deep learning-based (DL; Dentbird) and conventional automated (CA; Auto Workflow, 3Shape) (n = 10).

One of the common forms of dental injury is anterior crown fractures, which mainly affect teenagers and young adults. Fractures of the coronal portion of the permanent incisors characterize 18-22% of total traumatic injuries to dental hard tissues, of which 96% of them comprise the maxillary incisors. An uncomplicated fracture of the crown is one of the most common types of dental traumatic injury.

Objectives: Interdental hygiene plays a crucial role in maintaining oral health, yet the effectiveness of dental floss remains a subject of debate. Thus, this study aimed to assess whether improved flossing technique relates to improved cleaning efficacy.
Materials And Methods: A total of 37 adults (23.

Background: The goal of this study was to assess the techniques used in earlier conducted clinical investigations on the chemomechanical eradication of dentinal caries, as well as to assess the variances in pain perception, the time required for complete caries excavation, and how microbiological analysis compared before and following caries removal in primary teeth for both Papacarie and Carisolv.
Materials And Methods: An electronic search was conducted utilizing the databases PubMed, Google Scholar, EBSCOhost, Scopus, and the Cochrane Library. The following categories were included during the assessment process: full text randomized and controlled clinical trials published between January 2000 and December 2021 in the English language only.
