We report a case involving a 62-year-old woman with in vivo-bound immunoglobulin (Ig)G and IgA antibodies in both the intercellular space (ICS) and basement membrane zone (BMZ). Her clinical and histopathological features were identical with those of pemphigus vulgaris, while the immunopathological findings suggested IgG/IgA pemphigus. Direct immunofluorescence (IF) showed in vivo-bound IgG and IgA antibodies in the ICS and BMZ, whereas indirect IF showed circulating IgG but not IgA antibodies in the ICS and BMZ. The anti-ICS IgG bound to desmoglein-3, while the anti-BMZ antibodies bound to the epidermal side of 1 mol/L NaCl-split skin. To the best of our knowledge, only two similar cases have been reported so far. Furthermore, we also examined IgG subclass distribution of the in vivo-bound and circulating anti-ICS and BMZ antibodies, and found that IgG1, IgG2 and IgG4 bound to ICS of the lesional skins, while IgG1 and IgG3 bound to the BMZ. The circulating anti-ICS antibodies belonged to IgG1 and IgG4, while the circulating anti-BMZ antibodies to IgG1, IgG2 and IgG4. Objectives: This study compared the diagnostic accuracy of seven different commercial serological assays for COVID-19, using RT-PCR as the gold standard, through meta-analysis and indirect comparison.
Methods: Fifty-seven studies, published from November 2019 to June 2024, were included. The diagnostic performance of IgA, IgG, and total antibody assays for SARS-CoV-2 was assessed.

The post-weaning period is stressful for pigs due to changes in their environment and diet. The occurrence of diarrhea at this stage is high. Growth promoters such as antibiotics and zinc oxide (ZnO) have been used to not only reduce post-weaning diarrhea but also improve growth performance of weaning pigs.

Objectives: Selective immunoglobulin A deficiency (SIgAD) is characterized by an isolated deficiency of serum IgA while immunoglobulin G (IgG) and immunoglobulin M (IgM) levels remain normal. Symptoms range from asymptomatic to recurrent infections. We aimed to determine the prevalence of IgAD and SIgAD among Omani patients undergoing screening for celiac disease.

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of some environment- and animal-based factors, such as body condition score (BCS) on 15-20 days before parturition, parity, and calving season on colostrum dry matter (DM), fat, solids-nonfat (SNF), protein, and lactose contents as well as colostrum and calf's serum immunoglobulin (IgG, IgA, and IgM), IGF-1, and lactoferrin concentrations in buffaloes. Therefore, the components of colostrum (at the first milking) and calf serum samples (at 24-48 h and 28 days after birth) from 86 Anatolian buffalo cows were analyzed by an infrared milk analyzer and ELISA test. The high BCS enhanced colostrum DM, fat, and IgG content; calf serum IgG concentration at 24-48 h, and lactoferrin at 28 days compared to low BCS.

Introduction: This study investigated the mucosal immunoadjuvant effects of Gynostemma Pentaphyllum Extract (Gynostemma P.E), the bioactive constituents of , against porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV).
Methods: Twenty-four mice were randomly divided into four groups: a negative control group (intranasal administration of antigen only), a Gynostemma P.
