We discuss the present state and planned updates ofCosmoLattice, a cutting-edge code for lattice simulations of non-linear dynamics of scalar-gauge field theories in an expanding background. We first review the current capabilities of the code, including the simulation of interacting singlet scalars and of Abelian and non-Abelian scalar-gauge theories. We also comment on new features recently implemented, such as the simulation of gravitational waves from scalar and gauge fields.

We present a microscopic study of chiral plasma instabilities and axial charge transfer in non-Abelian plasmas with a strong gauge-matter coupling g^{2}N_{f}=64, by performing 3+1D real-time classical-statistical lattice simulation with dynamical fermions. We explicitly demonstrate for the first time that-unlike in an Abelian plasma-the transfer of chirality from the matter sector to the gauge fields occurs predominantly due to topological sphaleron transitions. We elaborate on the similiarities and differences of the axial charge dynamics in cold Abelian U(1) and non-Abelian SU(2) plasmas, and comment on the implications of our findings for the study of anomalous transport phenomena, such as the chiral magnetic effect in QCD matter.

Generic first-order phase transitions between isotropic and orientational phases with polyhedral symmetries.

Polyhedral nematics are examples of exotic orientational phases that possess a complex internal symmetry, representing highly nontrivial ways of rotational symmetry breaking, and are subject to current experimental pursuits in colloidal and molecular systems. The classification of these phases has been known for a long time; however, their transitions to the disordered isotropic liquid phase remain largely unexplored, except for a few symmetries. In this work, we utilize a recently introduced non-Abelian gauge theory to explore the nature of the underlying nematic-isotropic transition for all three-dimensional polyhedral nematics.

We study the isotropization of a homogeneous, strongly coupled, non-abelian plasma by means of its gravity dual. We compare the time evolution of a large number of initially anisotropic states as determined, on the one hand, by the full nonlinear Einstein's equations and, on the other, by the Einstein's equations linearized around the final equilibrium state. The linear approximation works remarkably well even for states that exhibit large anisotropies.
