We report two cases with giant intramedullary epidermoid cysts in the thoracolumbosacral and lumbosacral regions with varied presentations. Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging of the thoraco lumbar spine in case 1revealed an intramedullary elongated mass extending from T10 to S2 level causing significant widening of the spinal canal while MR imaging of lumbosacral spine in case 2 showed straightening of the lumbar spine and spina bifida at L5 level with conus at L3 and a lobulated long segment intramedullary solid cystic lesion extending from L2 to S2 veterbrae. The lesion was surgically resected and the pathology revealed an epidermoid cyst. Epidermoid cysts of the spinal cord are rare tumours in the adult population which may be congenital or acquired. Symptoms arising from epidermoid cysts vary with the level of involvement. The treatment of epidermoid cysts is surgical and if possible, complete removal is the goal.

Clitoral cyst is an epidermal inclusion cyst that results from invagination of the epidermis into the dermis or subcutaneous tissue. It commonly occurs following trauma from female genital mutilation (FGM), with presentation typically in childhood or the peripubertal period. Later, presentations often arise due to the asymptomatic nature of the condition and the associated stigma.

To investigate the clinical features, surgical outcomes, and prognosis of testicular epidermoid cysts in children, to enhance the understanding of this rare benign lesion, reduce misdiagnosis and overtreatment, optimize clinical decision-making, and improve the quality of life in affected children. A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 23 pediatric patients with testicular epidermoid cysts treated at our hospital between September 2015 and April 2024. Data collected included age, laterality, disease duration, AFP levels, tumor size, operative time, intraoperative blood loss, and length of hospital stay.

Background: To address soft tissue volume deficiencies following surgery or injury, plastic surgeons implant de-epithelialized flaps subcutaneously. During this procedure, residual epidermal components and skin appendages may inadvertently be implanted, potentially leading to postoperative complications. However, such occurrences are rare in clinical practice.

Testicular epidermoid cysts (TECs) are rare benign intratesticular lesions that can clinically and radiologically mimic malignant germ cell tumors. We report two cases of adolescent males presenting with painless testicular nodules. Imaging findings-characteristic concentric echogenic rings, absence of vascularity, and normal tumor markers-suggested TECs.
