Timely access to comprehensive , high-quality emergency obstetric and neonatal care can prevent maternal and neonatal mortality but remains challenging in Benin. We examine geographic accessibility to childbirth care (CBC) in Grand Nokoué, the largest conurbation in Benin. We gathered data on boundaries, health facilities, road network, elevation, land cover, relative wealth, urbanicity, and geo-traced travel speeds over 45 days during the rainy season.

The planetary health diet (PHD) proposed by the EAT-Lancet Commission, advocates for reduced meat and dairy intake while emphasizing the consumption of whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and legumes. Existing studies have shown that the PHD can lower mortality rates and slow cognitive decline in various populations. However, its specific effects on cognitive impairment among elderly individuals in China remain unclear, primarily due to regional socioeconomic and cultural differences.

To a large extent, the food security and ecological balance of a region, particularly in agriculturally dominated areas, largely depend on the sustainable use and management of groundwater resources. However, in recent times, both natural and human-driven factors have heavily impacted the lowering of groundwater resources. Therefore, the present study has been carried out in a drought-prone region of Birbhum district, part of the red-lateritic agro-climatic zone of West Bengal, Eastern India, to delineate groundwater potential zones (GWPZs).

The Chhilchhila Wildlife Sanctuary serves as a vital wintering ground and key stopover for the Central Asian Flyway, providing essential habitats for numerous migratory bird species. Fortnightly field surveys for 2 years were conducted periodically from October 2022 to September 2024, employing line-cum-point transect counts across four transects of the study area. A total of 62 winter migrant avian species from 10 orders, 26 families, and 42 genera were recorded.

Increasing leaf area and extending vegetation growing seasons are two primary drivers of global greening, which has emerged as one of the most significant responses to climate change. However, it remains unclear how these two leaf acclimation strategies would vary across forests at a large spatial scale. Here, using multiple satellite-based datasets and field measurements, we analysed the temporal changes (Δ) in maximal leaf area index (LAI) and length of the growing season (LOS) from 2002 to 2021 across deciduous broadleaf forests (DBFs) in the middle to high latitudes.
