Introduction: Ectopic adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH)/corticotropin-releasing hormone production by tumours causes 5-10% of Cushing's syndrome cases. We present a 21-patient case series with ectopic Cushing's syndrome (ECS) from a tertiary care institute in India.
Methods: Data were collected retrospectively for patients from 1984 to 2004 and prospectively thereafter till 2019.

Bronchial sleeve resection is the preferred technique over pneumonectomy for centrally located tumors, preserving lung function and improving survival. We present a uniportal robotic-assisted thoracic surgery technique for left main bronchus sleeve resection with secondary carinal reconstruction in a patient with a typical carcinoid tumour. Through a single 4 cm incision, the left main bronchus and its bifurcation were resected and reconstructed using a continuous absorbable barbed suture.

Primary lung tumours are rare in paediatric patients. Mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC), typically low-grade and diagnostically straightforward, is the second most common tumour of the bronchus after carcinoid tumours. However, rare MEC may show divergent differentiation, be misdiagnosed as low-grade adenocarcinoma, not otherwise classified, and pose clinical challenges, especially when mastermind-like protein 2 (MAML2) gene arrangement is negative by fluorescence in situ hybridisation (FISH).

: Sleeve and wedge bronchial resections without removal of lung tissue may represent a surgical option in selected cases of low-grade neoplasms. This study is a retrospective analysis of the surgical technique and the short- and long- term results of bronchial sleeve resections performed in the Department of Thoracic Surgery of Careggi Hospital in Florence, Italy, and in the Department of Thoracic Surgery of Marie Lannelongue Hospital in Plessis Robinson, France. : Between January 2017 and October 2024, 25 patients with low-grade tumors underwent bronchial sleeve resection with total lung-sparing.

Herein, we reported the damage of the B6 bronchial segment following apical segmentectomy of the left lower lobe for management of a typical carcinoid tumor. The defect was localized distally to the B6 origin and was successfully repaired by re-stapling the proximal side of the B6 bronchus. Before firing, the intraoperative bronchoscopy confirmed the closure of the B6 bronchus alone and the normal patency of the bronchial pyramid basal.
