A hybrid study combining technological production and methodological research aiming to establish associations between the data and information that are part of a Computerized Nursing Process according to the ICNP® Version 1.0, indicators of patient safety and quality of care. Based on the guidelines of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses for the expansion of warning systems, five warning systems were developed: potential for iatrogenic pneumothorax, potential for care-related infections, potential for suture dehiscence in patients after abdominal or pelvic surgery, potential for loss of vascular access, and potential for endotracheal extubation. The warning systems are a continuous computerized resource of essential situations that promote patient safety and enable the construction of a way to stimulate clinical reasoning and support clinical decision making of nurses in intensive care.

Driven by eutrophication and global warming, the occurrence and frequency of harmful cyanobacteria blooms (CyanoHABs) are increasing worldwide, posing a serious threat to human health and biodiversity. Early warning enables precautional control measures of CyanoHABs within water bodies and in water works, and it becomes operational with high frequency in situ data (HFISD) of water quality and forecasting models by machine learning (ML). However, the acceptance of early warning systems by end-users relies significantly on the interpretability and generalizability of underlying models, and their operability.

Sleep deprivation (SD) is a major contributor to cognitive impairment, often accompanied by central neuroinflammation and gut microbiota dysbiosis. The tryptophan (TRP) pathway, activated via indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO), serves as a critical link between immune activation and neuronal damage. Umbelliferone (UMB), a naturally occurring coumarin compound, possesses anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and microbiota-modulating properties.

The convergence of artificial intelligence (AI) and wearable biosensors is revolutionizing personalized healthcare, enabling continuous monitoring, early detection of health issues, which enhances the efficiency of data processing and real-time decision-making. Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) play a pivotal role in this ecosystem by offering advanced capabilities in analyzing complex health data, understanding nuanced health contexts, and generating tailored health recommendations instantaneously. This study provides insights into how machine learning, deep learning algorithms, and MLLM can work together to facilitate the analysis of physiologic data for real-time monitoring and early warning systems as well as complex decision support mechanisms.

Background: In recent years, with the expanding use of novel therapeutics such as immune checkpoint inhibitors and monoclonal antibodies, reports of drug-induced vitiligo have been increasing. This study aimed to identify drugs associated with vitiligo using the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS).
Methods: A retrospective disproportionality analysis was performed on FAERS reports from the first quarter of 2004 to the fourth quarter of 2024.

Since the 2013-2014 Ebola virus disease outbreak, Guinea has faced recurrent epidemics of viral hemorrhagic fevers. Although the country has learned from these epidemics by improving its disease surveillance and investigation capacities, local authorities and stakeholders, including community actors, are not sufficiently involved in the disease-emergence response. As a result, measures are not fully understood and have failed to engage local stakeholders.
