Here, we describe an operative method for the simultaneous correction of deviated columella and wide nostril floor in unilateral cleft lip nasal deformities. The V-shaped flap of the affected nostril floor was inserted into the side wall of the columella using the Y-V advancement. By suturing the anterocaudal septum, which is often deviated to the unaffected side, with the subcutaneous tissue of the affected alar base, it was possible to simultaneously reposition the columellar base in the midline as well as narrow the wide nostril floor. This method was technically simple, with low invasiveness for the septal cartilage. Furthermore, as noted in one of the two cases described, it would enable the reconstruction of the natural shape of the nostril sill.

Background: Olfaction regulates animal behavior; hence, its organs are present early in fish development. Due to their aquatic lifestyle, fish use olfaction to communicate chemical signals during gustation.
Aim: In this study, we investigated the morphogenesis and ontogeny of the European seabass's (, Linnaeus, 1758) olfactory organ.

Background: The current study was conducted to evaluate the effect of different litter materials on growth performance, some behavioral patterns, welfare indicators, and carcass traits in Muscovy ducks. A total of 84 healthy 2weeks old Muscovy ducklings were randomly allocated to 4 groups (3 replicates/ group; each replicate contains 7 birds) according to different litter materials. The first group was reared on wood shavings; the second was reared on sand; the third was reared on chopped rice straw; and the fourth one was reared on wheat straw.

It results from non-neoplastic overgrowth of glandular tissue. It is rarely located in the upper airway and in 70% of these cases it is present in the nasal septum.

Statement Of Problem: A nasal prosthesis may compensate for a partial or complete defect of the nose associated with trauma or amputation. However, the design and production is time-consuming, expensive, and expertize-dependent. Computer-generated prosthesis models and 3D printing can optimize the process.

Aim: Due to the diversity and complexity of tissues involved in secondary nasal deformities following unilateral cleft lip, secondary nasal deformity correction surgeries are challenging and often yield unsatisfactory results, posing a difficult problem for plastic surgeons. Autologous cartilage, with its low sculpting difficulty, minimal absorption, and stable tissue compatibility, is considered the optimal material for reconstructing the columella, nasal tip, and alar. This study analyzed the clinical outcomes of using autologous cartilage to create a Y-shaped columella to correct secondary nasal deformities after cleft lip surgery.
