Diseases of oral mucosa are characterized by complex etiology, diverse and confused clinical manifestations, as well as lack of special therapeutic drugs and methods. So it has always been a non-evasive teaching conundrum. This paper explored a multiple three-dimensional interactive teaching mode, a combination of problem-based learning (PBL), case-based learning (CBL), multimedia, internet and evidence-based medicine. It is hoped that its application in the teaching of the diseases of oral mucosa will arouse the students' learning interest, broaden their professional perspective, cultivate their self-learning ability to find, ask, analyze and solve problems, and strengthen their clinical practice capacity.

In wheat allergy dependent on augmentation factors (WALDA), allergic reactions occur when wheat ingestion is combined with exercise or rarely other augmentation factors. We analyzed clinical characteristics and disease burden in recreationally active and trained individuals with WALDA diagnosed by oral challenge test. Clinical characteristics, serological data, and quality of life (QOL) questionnaires were analyzed and completed with follow-up interviews.

This study highlights the biomedical relevance of injectable TS (tannic acid-silk fibroin)-Mg/Sr hydrogels in alveolar bone repair, particularly their prospective role as carriers for stem cells from the apical papilla (SCAPs) in tissue regeneration. By utilizing self-assembling silk material, noted for its favorable handling properties, we present a useful approach for single-wall bone defects, such as bone fenestration and fractures in the oral cavity. Furthermore, our findings regarding the involvement of the TRPM7 ion channel indicate a possible regulatory pathway for improving alveolar bone defect repair.

Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease, the incidence of which continues to rise globally, and existing therapeutic options are limited by low drug bioavailability and systemic side effects. In this study, we systematically investigated the challenges of the special gastrointestinal environment of UC patients for oral drug delivery, such as extreme pH, degradation by digestive enzymes, metabolism of intestinal flora and obstruction of the intestinal mucosal barrier, and summarized the potential of plant-derived Exosome-like Nanovesicles (PELNs) as a novel delivery system. PELNs are produced by plant cells and mainly consist of proteins, RNA, lipids and plant active molecules.

Background: Periodontal disease is an inflammatory condition causing chronic damage to the tooth-supporting connective tissues, leading to tooth loss in adults. Diagnosing periodontitis requires clinical and radiographic examinations, with panoramic radiographs crucial in identifying and assessing its severity and staging. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), a deep learning method for visual data analysis, and Dense Convolutional Networks (DenseNet), which utilize direct feed-forward connections between layers, enable high-performance computer vision tasks with reduced computational demands.
