Complexes of composition "[Pd(2,9-dimethylphenanthroline)X(2)]" (X = Cl, Br, I) have long been known and they are used as precursors for the synthesis of other derivatives or as catalysts. In the previous literature, they have invariably been described as neutral square planar complexes, but we have found that a second ionic isomer also exists, having composition [Pd(Neoc)(2)X](2)[Pd(2)X(6)], and that the formation of this isomer occurs under a wider range of conditions than that of the neutral one. Retrospectively, the ionic isomer had surely been obtained in most previous reports even if formation of the neutral one was claimed.

Ionic framework materials have attracted considerable attention in chemistry and materials science. However, their synthesis predominantly relies on the precise selection of ionic components, often requiring a trial-and-error approach. This limitation has significantly impeded the efficient development of such materials.

The preparation of LiS-PS (LPS) solid electrolytes for all-solid-state lithium batteries through liquid-phase methods has attracted much attention over the last years. One of the most critical aspects to be clarified is how speciation affects the ionic conductivity of the synthesized materials, which is often lower than that obtained by other synthetic approaches. This paper shed some light on the species formed upon the reaction of LiS and PS in acetonitrile under mild conditions, exploring a wide range of LiS/PS molar ratios, by means of multinuclear/multidimensional NMR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.

Alzheimer's disease (AD), a progressive neurodegenerative disorder, is characterized by cognitive decline resulting from neuronal cell death. A key contributor to AD pathology is C99, a membrane-bound β-secretase-cleaved fragment of amyloid precursor protein (APP). C99 plays a central role in generating amyloid-beta (Aβ) isomers, which are directly implicated in disease progression.

Strong, local, and directional hydrogen bonds (HBs) govern the structures and arrangements of carboxy-functionalized ionic liquids. The analysis of infrared spectra in the CO stretching region has revealed doubly hydrogen-bonded cationic dimers (c=c) in the liquid, resembling the archetype HB motif known from carboxylic acids. The like-charge doubly hydrogen-bonded ion pairs are also present in the crystal structure, surviving the phase transition into the liquid state, and are still present in (2,1) complexes in the gas phase.

Ketoprofen, also known as (RS)-2-(3-benzoylphenyl)-propionic acid, has the molecular formula CHO and is classified as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication. R-ketoprofen has stronger analgesic effects than S-K, and as a result, there is a growing interest in enantio-recognition research, which may be accomplished through supramolecular interactions, particularly host-guest reactions. A 1:1 molar ratio was used to produce the combination of separate RK and SK and a 0.
