Article Abstract

Regulatory dynamics in biology is often described by continuous rate equations for continuously varying chemical concentrations. Binary discretization of state space and time leads to Boolean dynamics. In the latter, the dynamics has been called unstable if flip perturbations lead to damage spreading. Here, we find that this stability classification strongly differs from the stability properties of the original continuous dynamics under small perturbations of the state vector. In particular, random networks of nodes with large sensitivity yield stable dynamics under small perturbations.

Unlabelled: Crimes against the sexual integrity of the individual represent one of the most serious forms of violence.

Objective: To perform a retrospective epidemiological analysis with the systematization of analytical data on the performed forensic medical examinations (FMEs) of survivors of sexual abuse in order to increase the effectiveness of the system of preventive measures against such crimes.

Material And Methods: The data from the industry statistical report №42 were analyzed.

Small glaciers situated in high mountainous areas are experiencing notable declines, characterized by unprecedented rates of ice loss in recent years. This study investigates the recent changes in surface elevation and mass loss occurring between 2010 and 2023 within the Alamkouh Glacier over three subperiods, one of the biggest glaciers in Iran and the Middle East. These assessments are derived from a combination of high-resolution LiDAR data in 2010 (with a spatial resolution of 20 cm) and multi-temporal surveys conducted using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in 2018, 2020, and 2023 (with spatial resolutions varied from 10 to 20 cm).

Unlabelled: (SA) colonizes most mammals but also represents a danger in clinical settings because it evolves resistance against antibiotics, and SA infections represent a leading cause of death worldwide. SA nasal carriage provides the bacterial reservoir for opportunistic infection because clinical strains often match the patient's own nasally carried strain. The global SA carriage rate is typically reported as 25%-30% after sampling subjects once or twice and defining carrier status using culture-based methods.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by persistent hyperglycemia with multiple clinical manifestations and complications, such as cardiovascular disease, kidney dysfunction, retinal impairment, and peripheral neuropathy. Continuous and minimally invasive glucose monitoring is essential for effective DM management. Microneedles (MNs)-based sensing platforms offer a promising solution; however, conventional polymeric MNs suffer from limited electrochemical sensitivity due to their insufficient electroactive surface area and inefficient loading of catalytic and enzymatic components.
