To assess the efficacy and safety of the Velpatasvir (VEL)/Sofosbuvir (SOF) with or without Ribavirin (RBV) in treating patients with decompensated hepatitis C cirrhosis. We searched multiple databases for studies published from October 2010 to September 2024. Outcomes of interest were sustained viral response at 12 weeks (SVR12) and the safety of VEL/SOF with and without RBV regimens in patients with decompensated hepatitis C virus (HCV) cirrhosis.

Detection and genotyping of enteric foodborne viruses in ready-to-eat leafy vegetables and berries from Córdoba, Argentina.

Instituto de Virología "Dr. J. M. Vanella" - Facultad de Ciencias Médicas - Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina; Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET), Argentina.

The global consumption of ready-to-eat (RTE) leafy green vegetables and berries has risen as consumers perceive them as safe and nutritious options. However, these foods have also been identified as sources of enteric viruses that infect the human gastrointestinal system, which are then excreted and can spread through the fecal-oral route. In Argentina, there is limited evidence on the detection of enteric viruses in food, and no legislation currently requires their detection in frozen or fresh produce intended for domestic consumption.

Hepatitis E virus (HEV) has emerged as a major agent of acute viral hepatitis, with zoonotic genotype 4 (HEV-4) representing a public health concern in China. In this study, we integrated province-wide enhanced hepatitis E surveillance data and molecular profiling from Shandong Province of eastern China, 2019-2023, with the aim of elucidating the epidemiology, genetic diversity, and clinical correlations of autochthonous HEV infections. In total, 5826 cases were reported during the study period, with 72.

Introduction: Monitoring transmitted drug resistance is crucial for guiding first-line antiretroviral therapy (ART) and controlling the rising HIV epidemic in Türkiye. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of transmitted antiretroviral resistance to protease inhibitors (PIs), nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs), non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs), integrase strand transfer inhibitors (INSTIs) and capsid assembly inhibitors (CAIs). We also assessed the distribution of HIV-1 subtypes and circulating recombinant forms (CRFs) at one of the main national referral centres in Türkiye.

Direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) have transformed hepatitis C virus (HCV) treatment in Australia since their inclusion on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) in 2016. Treatment has shifted from genotype-specific to pan-genotypic regimens, with glecaprevir/pibrentasvir and sofosbuvir/velpatasvir now recommended in clinical guidelines. This study examined trends in DAA dispensing in light of evolving treatment regimens.
