Transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) is an important pathogen capable of altering the expression profile of cellular miRNA. In this study, the potential of Polygonum cillinerve polysaccharide (PCP) to treat TGEV-infected piglets was evaluated through in vivo experiments. High-throughput sequencing technology was employed to identify 9 up-regulated and 17 down-regulated miRNAs during PCP-mediated inhibition of TGEV infection in PK15 cells.

Exosomal microRNAs (miRNAs) derived from different cells are proposed to be important noninvasive biomarkers for the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease. Recently, sensitive and reliable sensing of exosomal miRNAs has been garnered significant attention. Herein, a novel electrochemical biosensor based on a step polymerization catalytic hairpin assembly (SP-CHA) circuit is designed for exosomal miR-181 detection.

Objective: To elucidate the role of morphine in inducing apoptosis of mouse hippocampal neurons HT-22 by upregulating microRNA-181-5p (miR-181-5p).

Materials And Methods: After treatment of different doses of morphine, changes in proliferative ability, apoptosis, and expression levels of miR-181-5p and MAPK1 in HT-22 cells were assessed through a series of functional experiments. Regulatory effects of miR-181-5p on morphine-induced phenotype changes of HT-22 cells were examined.

Numerous microRNAs (miRs) have been implicated in breast cancer; however, the molecular mechanism is not fully understood. The present study examined the function and regulatory mechanism of miR‑181 in breast cancer. Reverse transcription‑quantitative polymerase chain reaction and western blot analysis were used to examine the RNA and protein expression.

We aimed to study the anti-tumor effects of triptolide on osteosarcoma and the related molecular mechanisms. The cell viability, apoptosis portion, tumor size, tumor weight, and invasion of osteosarcoma cells were determined. The relative level of microRNA-181 in osteosarcoma tissues and the adjacent tissues was determined by quantitative real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction.
