Biology has been transformed by the rapid development of computing and the concurrent rise of data-rich approaches such as, omics or high-resolution imaging. However, there is a persistent computational skills gap in the biomedical research workforce. Inherent limitations of classroom teaching and institutional core support highlight the need for accessible ways for researchers to explore developments in computational biology.

Background: As healthcare systems increasingly embrace digital transformation, the need for a specialised digital health workforce, distinct from general clinical or IT roles, has become paramount. This study offers a national review of digital health education (DHE) offerings in Australian universities, with a focus on how current curricula support the development of advanced, workforce-ready skills in areas such as health informatics, data analytics, digital implementation, and leadership.
Methods: A systematic web-based review was conducted across all 42 Australian universities, drawing on publicly available resources including official handbooks, course catalogues, and subject guides.

Background: Despite decades of initiatives to increase nursing workforce diversity, gaps persist between patient population and nursing workforce demographics.
Problem: Emphasis on NCLEX pass rates as a program quality indicator, combined with systemic barriers, creates complex challenges that influence admission and progression policies in nursing education. Evidence suggests these factors disproportionately affect underrepresented minority (URM) students, impacting both academic success and workforce diversity.

Background: Older people who live in residential aged care homes (RACHs) are particularly vulnerable to infections. Without staff commitment and engagement, even the most well-designed policies and guidelines may fail to achieve infection prevention and control (IPAC) effectiveness.
