Counterion-mediated modulation of electroadhesion in polyanionic/polycationic hydrogels: mechanisms and performance.

Reversible electroadhesive polyelectrolyte gels have emerged as promising materials for flexible electronic and soft robotic applications. While current research predominantly emphasizes polymer design and structural optimization to enhance both the reversibility and strength of electroadhesion, fundamental limitations persist in elucidating ion-mediated interfacial mechanisms. Herein, the synergistic effects of ion species selection and interfacial engineering were systematically investigated through the development of distinct polyelectrolyte hydrogel assemblies.

Mechano-Responsive Fluorescent Gel based on Tetraphenylethylene-Crosslinked Dynamic Covalent Network.

The rapid development of mechano-responsive fluorescence has been driven by its promising applications in the fields of sensors, information encryption, and anti-counterfeiting. However, designing mechanophores that can exhibit fluorescence changes under relatively low force remains challenging. In this study, a mechano-responsive fluorescent gel was developed using a tetraphenylethylene derivative as a cross-linker, producing a dynamic covalent network that exhibits increased fluorescence under tensile stress.

The young eye has an accommodative ability involving lens shape changes to focus over different distances. This function gradually decreases with age, resulting in presbyopia. Greater insights into the mechanical properties of anterior eye structures can improve understanding of the causes of presbyopia.

Cytotoxic compounds from marine actinomycetes: Sources, Structures and Bioactivity.

Marine actinomycetes produce a substantial number of natural products with cytotoxic activity. The strains of actinomycetes were isolated from different sources like fishes, coral, sponges, seaweeds, mangroves, sediments etc. These cytotoxic compounds can be categorized briefly into four classes: polyketides, non-ribosomal peptides and hybrids, isoprenoids and hybrids, and others, among which majority are polyketides (146).

Reduced mother-to-child transmission of hepatitis B after implementation of completely charge-free active-passive immunoprophylaxis: an observational cohort study.

[A new polyketide from marine-derived Streptomyces sp.MDW-06].

To isolate and identify secondary metabolites of marine-derived Streptomyces sp.MDW-06,the isolations and purifications of compounds were performed by means of column chromatography over silica gel. And their structures were elucidated through the spectroscopic analysis of MS,NMR and specific rotations.
