In this study, the pharmacodynamic components and potential pharmacological functions of Danzhi Xiaoyao Formula in treating nervous system diseases were investigated by hippocampal component characterization and network pharmacology. After rats were administrated with Danzhi Xiaoyao Formula by gavage, high performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry(HPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS) was employed to explore the components in the hippocampus of rats. Fifty-seven components were identified in the hippocampus of rats by comparing the extract of Danzhi Xiaoyao Formula, herbal components in the hippocampus after administration, and blank samples.

We first developed a photochemical method toward silver nanocluster Ag(4- BuPhC≡C)(Dpppe)(SbF) ( -) and then related copper-doped alloyed nanocluster AgCu(4- BuPhC≡C)(Dpppe)Cl(SbF) ( -). Herein, we present a larger alloyed nanocluster, AgCu(4- BuPhC≡C)(Dpppe)(SbF) ( -) and investigate the relationship between the structures and the eCORR performance of those related nanoclusters.

Previous studies have demonstrated that the wheat bZIP transcription factor TabZIP156 plays a vital role in enhancing drought tolerance. However, the drought tolerance mechanism of TabZIP156 in wheat remains unclear.

We report here on the identification of a previously unrecognized property of MYOD as a repressor of gene expression via E-box-independent chromatin binding during the process of somatic cell -differentiation into skeletal muscle. When ectopically expressed in proliferating human fibroblasts or endogenously induced in activated muscle stem cells (MuSCs), MYOD was detected at accessible regulatory elements of expressed genes, invariably leading to reduced chromatin accessibility and gene repression. At variance with conventional E-box-driven increased chromatin accessibility and H3K27 acetylation at previously silent loci of MYOD-activated genes, MYOD-mediated chromatin compaction and repression of transcription was associated with high occurrence of non-E-box motifs and did not lead to reduced levels of H3K27ac but coincided with reduced levels of H4 acetyl-methyl lysine modification (Kacme).

The goal of this study is to develop a novel injectable hydrogel, referred to as PPMF, and evaluate its biosafety profile. The PPMF polymer, which serves as the gelation precursor, was synthesized through a redox radical polymerization and amidation process. The molecular structures of the synthesized polymers were thoroughly characterized using H nuclear magnetic resonance (H NMR) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).

N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification plays a critical role in regulating CSC plasticity; however, the key m6A regulators in TNBC-CSCs remain poorly defined. Here, we identified IGF2BP3 as a dominant m6A reader enriched in TNBC-CSCs through transcriptomic analysis of the TCGA-BRCA dataset and validation by fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS).

While numerous studies monitored the usage of PPCPs, and ignored the systematical investigation of the discarded PPCPs. Here, we collected leachate from 73 landfills across China and detected 52 target PPCPs.

Ordos City is located within the Yellow River 'Ji Zi Bend'. Clarifying the spatio-temporal variations and trade-offs/synergies of ecosystem services is of great significance for ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin. Based on the InVEST model and remote sensing data, we evaluated the ecosystem services of soil conservation, carbon storage, water conservation, and net primary productivity (NPP) in Ordos City from 2000 to 2020, and analyzed their spatio-temporal variations.

As research on adult neurogenesis advances, it becomes increasingly crucial to identify potential targets for interventions aimed at enhancing endogenous neurogenesis and promoting functional recovery in AD patients. Our previous studies have demonstrated the potential of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator-1 alpha (PGC-1α) in mitigating the pathological abnormalities associated with AD.

While most previous studies have focused on antibiotics, there is limited information regarding the occurrence of non-antibiotic PPCPs in landfill refuse and their impact on ARGs. This study systematically investigated the occurrence and evolutionary characteristics of 35 PPCPs, 15 ARGs, and 3 mobile genetic elements (MGEs) in landfill refuse of varying ages.

Here, we uncover that aged MuSCs have blunted prostaglandin E2 (PGE2)-EP4 receptor signaling, which causes precocious commitment and mitotic catastrophe. Treatment with PGE2 alters chromatin accessibility and overcomes the dysfunctional aged MuSC fate trajectory, increasing viability and triggering cell cycle re-entry.

While some of these optical properties resemble those of cold atom arrays, moiré excitons extend to the deep subwavelength limit, beyond the reach of current optical lattice experiments. Remarkably, we show that the collective optical properties can be exploited to probe certain correlated electron states without requiring subwavelength spatial resolution.

Wild animals face numerous challenges in less ideal habitats, including the lack of food as well as changes in diet. Understanding how the gut microbiomes of wild animals adapt to changes in food resources within suboptimal habitats is critical for their survival. Therefore, we conducted a longitudinal sampling of three gibbon species living in high-quality (Nomascus hainanus) and suboptimal (Nomascus concolor and Hoolock tianxing) habitats to address the dynamics of gut microbiome assembly over one year.

Purpose: To analyze dynamic and static changes in the disc-condyle relationship in patients with skeletal Class III malocclusion after orthognathic surgery.
Methods: The surgical group comprised 30 patients with skeletal Class III malocclusion, and the magnetic resonance imaging and mandibular movement data were obtained at T0 (preoperatively), T1 (3 months postoperatively), and T2 (at the end of orthodontic treatment). The control group included 20 patients with normal occlusion, and the mandibular movement data were recorded.
Objectives: To observe the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) of "Jiaji" (EX-B2) on expression of high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1)/Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)/nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) related proteins and inflammation-related factors in spinal cord injury (SCI) rats, so as to explore the dynamic process of inhibiting inflammatory response in rats with SCI, and to provide a new idea and theoretical basis of molecular biology for the treatment of SCI.
Methods: Fifty-four SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation, model, and EA groups (=18 in each group), which were further divided into 3 d, 7 d and 14 d subgroups, with 6 rats at each time point. The SCI model was established according to the Allen's method.
