Background: Although triple therapy plus bismuth (TTPB), comprising a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), two antibiotics, and bismuth, is widely used to eradicate Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori), eradication rates have been suboptimal. Potassium-competitive acid blockers (P-CABs) offer stronger and more stable gastric acid inhibition compared to PPIs.

Background: In endoscopic nasobiliary drainage (ENBD), it is complicated to reposition the catheter from the mouth to nostril. We developed a new technique using an 1-mL syringe tube combined with guide-wire when repositioning an ENBD tube from mouth to nose. The aim of this study was to verify its utility.

Objective: To assess the safety and efficacy of carbon dioxide (CO(2)) in colonoscopy examination.
Methods: We randomized 349 patients to undergo colonoscopy with insufflation of air (n=175) or CO(2) (n=174). At colonoscopy, p (ET CO(2)) was observed at 4 time points: before the exam, arrived caecum, back rectum, and after the exam.
