Following the publication of this paper, it was drawn to the Editor's attention by a concerned reader that flow cytometric (FCM) assay data featured in Figs. 2 and 7B were strikingly similar to FCM data which were ultimately published in a number of other papers in different journals that were written by different authors at different research institutes, including a paper that was submitted on an earlier date to the journal .  Owing to the fact that the contentious data in the above article were found to be strikingly similar to data that have appeared elsewhere in other papers in the scientific literature, the Editor of has decided that this paper should be retracted from the Journal.

Protein adsorption is one of the most frequently observed incompatibility issues during intravenous (IV) administration of therapeutic proteins, especially at low concentration, leading to a lower-than-expected drug recovery and potential insufficient therapeutic effect. With its porous structure and complex surface physicochemical property, the in-line filter is usually the main component where protein adsorption happens. Thus, comprehending the adsorption mechanism between proteins and filter membranes is essential for designing effective mitigation strategies.

Semantic understanding is central to advanced cognitive functions, and the mechanisms by which the brain processes language information are still being explored. Existing EEG datasets often lack natural reading data specific to Chinese, limiting research on Chinese semantic decoding and natural language processing. This study aims to construct a Chinese natural reading EEG dataset, TMNRED, for semantic target identification in natural reading environments.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is characterized by the accumulation of amyloid-β (Aβ) peptides and a progressive decline in cognitive function. Hippocampus as a crucial brain area for learning and memory, is also adversely affected by AD's pathology. The accumulation of Aβ is often associated with the loss of dendritic spines of the hippocampus.

Given the influence of controlling shareholders on the company, it is important to analyze how independent directors can protect minority shareholders' interests using the information and resources obtained from social networks. This paper studies the impact of director networks on controlling shareholders' tunneling behavior in China over the period 2002-2020. Using social network analysis, this paper finds that controlling shareholders' appropriation to minority shareholders is mitigated in companies with well-connected independent directors.

Retinoblastoma (RB) is a common malignant tumor in children. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic and anti‑arrhythmic drug, and has been reported to possess anti‑tumor properties. MicroRNAs (miRs) are a group of endogenous small noncoding RNAs that have important roles in various biological processes via actions on target genes.

Investigation of the marine-derived fungus Pleosporales sp. CF09-1 cultured in modified PDB medium led to the isolation of six new azaphilone derivatives, pleosporalones B and C (1 and 2) and pleosporalones E-H (4-7), and one known analogue (3). The absolute configurations of C-2' and C-3' in 3 were assigned by a vibrational circular dichroism method.

The results of anomaly detection are sensitive to the choice of detection algorithms as they are specialized for different properties of data, especially for multidimensional data. Thus, it is vital to select the algorithm appropriately. To systematically select the algorithms, ensemble analysis techniques have been developed to support the assembly and comparison of heterogeneous algorithms.

Background: Total abdominal colectomy with ileorectal anastomosis for Crohn's colitis is acceptable in the presence of a suitable rectum. Intentional IPAA has been proposed for diffuse Crohn's proctocolitis without enteric or anoperineal disease.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the long-term outcomes of sphincter-saving procedures for large-bowel Crohn's disease.

Cytochrome P450 aromatase, which is encoded by the CYP19a gene, converts androgens to estradiol. Considerable evidence suggests that estrogens play an important role in fish reproductive process. Therefore CYP19a is an excellent candidate gene for reproductive traits.

FOXL2 which is a putative winged helix/forkhead transcription factor gene and a sexually dimorphic marker of ovarian differentiation plays an important role in ovarian development, granulosa cell differentiation, and thus the proper maintenance of ovarian function. The aims of this study were to characterize polymorphisms within the FOXL2 gene in a population of 52 female Japanese flounder and analyze the association of FOXL2 polymorphisms with reproductive performance by polymerase chain reaction-single stranded conformational polymorphism (PCR-SSCP). Results indicated that five single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), which were SNP1 [c.

Estrogen receptor (ERalpha) modifies the expression of genes involved in cell growth, proliferation and differentiation through binding to estrogen response elements (EREs) located in a number of gene promoters, so the ERalpha gene is considered as an important factor affecting reproductive endocrinology in Japanese flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus). In this study, twelve single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within eight CDS exons and 1 kb of 3'-UTR of the ERalpha gene were tested to association with four reproductive traits in a population of 119 Japanese flounder individuals with polymerase chain reaction-single stranded conformational polymorphism (PCR-SSCP). The association analysis of SNPs within Japanese flounder ERalpha gene with the reproductive traits was carried out using General Linear Model (GLM) estimation.
