Background: Schizophrenia is a complex chronic mental disorder that severely impairs patients' social functioning and quality of life, while imposing substantial burdens on families and society. Long-acting injectable antipsychotics (LAIs) have demonstrated potential advantages in improving both symptoms and social functioning.
