Clear aligners offer aesthetic and comfort advantages in orthodontics, yet their ability to deliver effective forces relies heavily on empirical judgment or large-scale optical scanning, lacking real-time quantitative evaluation. Integrating pressure sensors into aligners is a promising solution, but challenges in miniaturization, multi-dimensional sensing, measurement accuracy, and biocompatibility hinder clinical application. Here, an all-in-one Orthodontic Force Acquisition System (OFAS) is presented that enables real-time, 3D force monitoring using a cross-shaped iontronic sensing array and an origami-inspired, wireless battery-free readout circuit miniaturized for single-tooth placement.

The hippocampus (HC), a central hub for memory and cognition, exhibits unique metabolic resilience during aging despite widespread brain glucose hypometabolism. Here, we report that aged humans and macaques paradoxically display elevated HC glucose uptake (18F-FDG PET SUVR) alongside strengthened connectivity to sensory-motor and limbic networks-an adaptive rewiring revealed by graph-theoretical metabolic network analysis. Integrated multi-omics profiling identified STT3A (oligosaccharyltransferase) and ALG5 (dolichyl-phosphate β-glucosyltransferase) as key regulators of age-related HC adaptation, with their upregulation in aged macaque hippocampi driving N-glycosylation-dependent metabolic reprogramming.

Transfer RNAs (tRNAs) are widely recognized for their role in translation. Here, we describe a previously unidentified function of tRNA as an assembly chaperone. During poxviral infection, tRNA lacking the anticodon mcmsU34 modification is specifically sequestered from the cellular tRNA pool to promote formation of a multisubunit poxviral RNA polymerase complex (vRNAP).

Background: Arteriovenous fistulas are critical for maintaining effective blood circulation during hemodialysis. Undetected fistula dysfunction can lead to severe complications or death. Existing monitoring approaches rely heavily on hospital-based assessment, creating challenges for early intervention in home care settings.

Background: To guarantee high-quality patient scans, thorough quality assurance (QA) of SPECT or gamma cameras, including performance, review, and documentation, is essential.

Purpose: We developed a novel Nuclear Medicine Quality Assurance server (NMQA) with an AI deep learning (AIDL) optical character recognition (OCR) system to automate QA data retrieval and review from SPECT and gamma cameras. The system extracts and compares daily and weekly QA data against specifications.
